I'm by no means a good writer, but this is what I sent them.
It was a good interview...for Americans mainly. For KoL fans, there was really nothing new there. However, I truly appreciate the fact that Spin has stood behind them this time around. The "Crawl" download, more news than usual lately, and now the cover? Makes me proud to call Spin "The Bible" (jokingly, of course...but heh). It's kind of sickening how this born and bred American band can't hardly get air or face time in their own country.
Kudos for this, Spin. And thanks. You have just earned more respect (if that's possible) from this long-time subscriber.
Eira Karina Virginia
so if you see that or a shortened version of it on the magazine (not likely..). Yay, they published me! lol

Hahaha, this is totally cool! I think I'm one step closer to having my feedback published on Spin! I got this email from them today: Eira,
Thanks for your letter! Could you let me know what city in Virginia you’re writing from?
Best,
AbbyLOL

Thanks! And actually, I replied to that email, and asked them if they were planning on publishing my feedback. AND SHE SAID YES! It's a wild guess, but I think all the ass-kissing I did there won them over. LOL So look for my name on an upcoming issue.

Thanks all! I figured I'd just let Spin know that including the Kings in the magazine was appreciated by the fans.... if I had known they would publish it, I would've put more thought into my letter. it sounds so fucking simple. I kind of regret sending it now.

Naaaw, don't regret it! Simple can be good to, and you got your point across very well, in my opinion.

So...my letter was published on the latest issue (M.I.A. on the cover), and I was pissed off when I read it for two reasons. " The Royal We I truly appreciate that Spin has stood behind Kings of Leon for their new album. The free "Crawl" download, more news than usual on SPIN.com, and now the October cover? It makes me proud to call Spin "the Bible." It's kind of sickening how this born-and-bred American band can hardly get air- or face time in their own country. Hopefully that will change." First, the part about me calling Spin "the bible" was a joke...they made it seem like I really did call it that. I guess sarcasm doesn't translate well in writing, huh? And secondly, I can't believe no one else wrote about them. I mean, they usually publish 2 to 3 feedback letters, and mine was the only one on there! Come on...we complain about US magazines not featuring the Kings, and then when one does, we don't even let them know we appreciate it? How can we expect Spin to put them in the mag again after this?

Aw dang I wish I had read this earlier because I was at the bookstore and had the new issue of SPIN in my hands. And that's too bad that no one else wrote in; I wish I had known about it back when it was published
