Dave was pretty awesome today. I saw Nacho setting up during the long break for commercial and the boys came on during the last segment of the show. And to those that want to know what they'll be playing, it was Sex on Fire... but need not be bummed out if you think it's a little redundant, they did a great job performing! Caleb's voice sounded brilliant, and the band was tight. I found no musical errors of any sort. And they did smile really big after the performance  If anyone could get a Spazz the Kid screen capture, Jared starts making faces about half way into the songs after the first "were the words to transpire"  and that is why I love watching him play. After the show there were a few KoL fans that tried to coerce them to come over for a picture or a signing, but they were off in a rush. However, Jessie stepped out a few mins before the Kings and she smiled, waved, and said hi when I yelled her name. Such a sweet girl. Hopefully their Webster Hall show goes well tonight!! I saw the line out the door as I came home, and the usual scalpers were out of tickets! So maybe all the fans did get their tickets in the end... thank you for sharing this!!! so, they only played one song? i seriously wish that i could be at this show in NYC! |

Karma (when I'm restored) sapphireswell for the Letterman update. Yep, the show is pre-recorded and only an hour long, so unfortunately, bands only have time for one song. Can't wait to see it tonight!!

aww, thanks guys it was really my pleasure to watch them and share with you! jess was the only gf i saw with them, but they did go and hug some other people at the other barricade, i think it might have been jess's fam or maybe good friends? (no other recognizable family members or other gf's were around.) they then piled into a big black van along with what looked like record label people, and maybe an assistant that carried caleb's red checkered shirt and leather vest yep, letterman is pre-recorded at 4.30 in the afternoon... so if anyone has a favorite band or celeb they want to catch at the back door, they exit around 5.30 around back (53rd street behind the CBS store!) |

So.... they're bout to perform after this stupid ad. I almost forgot about it. I turned it on about 10 minutes ago.
EDIT: first person to upload this to youtube gets karma from me all day long. Caleb does the cutest smile at one point.

Ahhhh I'm so mad! I was really tired so I fell asleep in the middle of the show and woke up while they were performing the last chorus!  At least I can watch it on youtube later. And what David said about Nathan and his gum chewing was hilarious! EDIT -FOUND IT! www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOE9uwd6Y88 Enjoy.  Caleb's outfit is so nice and clean-cut. And just so non-watchers of the show know, David isn't always that enthusiastic after performances. Ever since they performed On Call on his show, I've noticed that he's genuinely a fan. Watched their performance this morning since I DVR'd it last night. Sounded amazing and they seemed a bit more relaxed than they did on SNL which is understandable since it was their first time on that show. Caleb was looking rather yummy-licious in his button down shirt. Seeing all of the boys in high definition is a glorious thing indeed!!!

overall a great performance.
i did pick out one small mistake. caleb was slightly off on guitar towards the beginning of the song. me and my roommate (who isnt a fan) both noticed it. we were both high though so that helps.
i am not big on the hair. jared looks 5 years younger with short hair. not very rock and roll.
