I love this song too... Everytime I hear the backing vocals I beam... I never would have thought such 'manly' men would ever go that high... I wonder who's idea that was!

what caleb sings right after the high part makes any awkwardness of the falsetto vocals fade away. awesome song, definitely could replace a song on the album. there's one in particular, but i won't say...

this song is actually amazin didnt jared say he hates it? im not really a fan of the chorus i kind of wish the whole thing was slow like the verses aw, that's the part i like! the crazy chorus to compliment the lovely verses... i think its an awesome song AND it def. deserved to be a reg. cut on the album!! and that fact that caleb says sleepytown--which i've only heard my family say...maybe its a southern thing...makes me smile. at any rate, i think everything is fabulous-oh in the song! though does anyone know what all the words are in the chorus? i'm havin' trouble. |

Matt & Nate do the backing vocals live. Interestingtrash posted a download link to a short clip she took of it in Austin, Texas at the weekend.
In one of the home movies you see them recording the backing vocals, but Caleb cracks up laughing. It's him and Nate and I can't remember if the third person is Matt or Jared.

^^^it was matt, cos then something blasts out on calebs headphones and he laughs and goes 'jared!' (is that the bit you meant??) also i didnt know that was them doing the backing vocals to frontier city!  (awesome song btw) haha i thought they were messing about doing falsetto....  |

No I think there are two different clips. One is the one you mentioned when Caleb starts singing and Jared goes "NNNNRGGGHHHHH!!" with his bass and nearly blasts Caleb's ears off Then there's another clip where they start to sing and Caleb just cracks up. |
