hahaha when my brother heard that song for the first time, he said "wait, did he just say 'black with the gift down below? lol" ... I laughed and told him it wasn't. Sadly, I, myself wasn't even sure.

It means the same thing whether it's cat or guy. Cat is a term used by usually black guys to describe a man, sammy davis jr used it all the time.

So, it still means the same thing. Just different lyrics.

it is 'guy' because if it wasn't, the next line 'a choke and a gag then she came back for more' would make no sense at all.

Listen to what he is singing about, and if you still think he is not talking about a black dude with a large johnson, then you are very naive or have too much ear wax. Look all over the sites that have lyrics posted from the booklet, it says "The black GUY with the gift down below" Why is this not possible? Its not racist or anything.

I thought it was black eye! haha That's what I think he's saying too. When the album comes out, lets see if we're right. Great song by the way. My absolute favorite on the album and perhaps one of my favorite KOL songs ever.

That southern twang that I really wanted with this new album.

this review says "cat" www.guardian.co.uk/music/2008/sep/14/kingsofleon.popandrock"The same goes for 'I Want You', a filthy yet seductive hypno-ballad where the lines, 'Black cat with the gift down below/ A choke and a gag/ She spit up and came back for more' leave nothing to the pornographic imagination." buttttt i assume he's using the word "cat" as in person. i call people cat's all the time haha

Whether he sings cat or guy surely he means the same thing? I mean, he doesn't mean an actual cat, that would be disgusting and ridiculous!

I can't believe people are even entertaining that idea. "Cat" is slang for person or guy. And he specifies the cat as black, only because black cats have a reputation/superstition about them. A double metaphor.
