So you are actually "Not allowed" To like We are Scientists if you like KOL? So personal opinions and tastes don't count at all? I like Iron Maiden, Trivium, Machine Head and also love KOL, Is this allowed or not? I best stop listening to them not since metal is probably exempt too. I'm not a fan of either M83 or We are Scientists. Do you work for M83 or something? As thats a suspicious first post. Either that or your a new fan of KOL since you've heard Sex on Fire and have an opinion on what all KOL fans should listen too. |

imho the first album of WAS is really nice. i liked it. but i don't know how the band has grown up 'cause i haven't listened to the new releases at all!
M83 has a nice 'opening act' sound, but it's not one of my favourites band, i'm sure anyway i'll enjoy them

Sorry but M83 are absolutely shit!
Delighted we don't have Glasvegas but M83 aren't much better.
The sad thing is that I need to listen to this crap to get a good spot for KOL.
I'd rather they just played some Creedence and Neil Young over the sound system.

Well I've 'aquired' 2 albums, and I like 'em to be fair.
Moonchild is just epic, shivers down the spine stuff. I'll be happy if they just play that.

Support is supposed to be about "finding" a new band. Personally i don't like M83's stuff much but no doubt alot of folk are gonna have alot of fun finding a new band. KOL did this for me when they brought The Features with them on the ASH tour. And to this day the copy Exhibit A i bought at that gig gets as much play as when i first go it. And hopefully M83 will do the same for alot of people.
I think alot of people are forgetting we bought tickets for a KOL show and the support is a huge bonus if we know them/like them. And is a huge thrill if its a band we love. Support acts have introduced me to a huge amount of bands i now consider my favs.

I was just on the Irish ticketmaster and for Belfast it says "with special guests - M83" but it just says "with special guests" for Dublin...would they have a different band for Belfast and Dublin??

Most bands I've seen have had a different band for Ireland than everyone else and they sucked compared to who supported elsewhere.

I first heard M83 on MTV2 last weekend,
it was Jared and Matt picking their favourite videos I think.
They sounded really good anyway, can't wait to see them with KOL.
