Mighty Boosh feature a joke about KOL in show!

Hey guys, so i went to see the Mighty Boosh last night who were great by the way! they had a couple of jokes about KOL, well not really jokes but Howard was talking about how people should be listening to Jazz and Noel said something about KOl, to which Howard had never heard of them and Noel said "you know KOL, the southern guys that no one can make out what theyre singing" then he started to sing milk but kind of taking the piss out of Caleb by not being able to make out his words (its hard to describe unless you had seen it ) then later on he came out and done it again. It was pretty funny people screamed in the audience including me when he asked if anyone knew who KOL were. My friend that was with me said " I bet your angry theyve took the piss out of KOL" LOL

sorry i rambled on there a bit! LOL

nah it was a live show......it will be out on DVD at the end of the tour i think
...but not the same performance i saw.

Yeah it was really funny, the girl next to us said she had been the night before and they had put on a different show, so not sure if they are changing it about every night, I was second row from the front, Rudi walked passed me i could have touched his afro! LOL

You'd be so lucky! As I really admire that they don't always do the same thing. It keeps it alive for both the audience and themselves I think.

Yeah they had him doing interviews it was pretty funny, Rudi came on to jam with the hitcher! its so random i luv it!

I went to see The Mighty Boosh's live show on Tuesday and we got the recurring KOL gag too:

In the first act Vince is berating Howard for his taste in jazz fusion as usual, and tells him he should listen to some popular music.

"Like what?", says Howard.
"Y'know", says Vince, "Like Kings Of Leon and that"

This being Dublin there was a huge cheer from the crowd

Howard: "Kings Of Leon? Who are they?"
Vince: "You know, those pretty Southern boys. They've got that song that goes ..*does a pretty hilarious wordless take on Caleb's vocals from 'Milk'*"
Howard: "Oh yeah, I like that one actually. What other songs have they got?"
Vince: "They've got that other single, the one that goes: *'sings' identical version of 'Milk' again and does a little dance to the 'tell me the one bout the friend you knew' bit*"
Howard: "Oh yeah, that's a good one too. Any others?"
Vince: "Yeah: *does his Milk cover again*"
Howard: "Oh no, I don't like that one"
Vince: "No, it wasn't as good"
Howard: "The first two singles were good though"

Then an hour later, in the second act, they're performing some weird play-within-a-play. Howard is playing the role of the last man on earth, and Vince and the others are all weird hag-like characters. Howard is giving this big, portentous speech about how consumerism has brought the earth to the point of apocalypse - everyone buying Starbucks cappuchinos and obsessing about popular music. At that point Vince runs on from the wings, 'sings' Milk, and runs off again! Even before he ran on stage, I heard a girl near me go "Kings of Leon!", and everyone roared and applauded. It was pretty damn funny .

I saw them the other night and when they asked if anyone had heard of kol me and my friends cheered really louldly and noel laughed at us
