Ahhh...yes, the "Only By The Night" Promotional steam engine is just starting to chug-a-chug around the bend! As for the studio version of "Crawl", neither more or less impressive than the live version, still love this track....still not the first single....what are those RCA cronies up to now?!? Loving what I hear, cheerios!

First impressions of Crawl, it's definately a grower, very very sexy guitar line, but it definately reminds me of something else, I just can't think what.
Cannot wait for the new album.

Okayyy im listening to the studio version for the second time right now... i like it me thinks!! im just happy coz i remember the first time i heard on call i was like "hmmmm not impressed" (although i like it now)... this is a good sign.. if i like crawl the album will be great hehe/ i loveeee the geetar.. i think the geetar solo might be a bit generic/boarderline cheesy.. but i think im only thinking that coz this is my second time. Let me just say though: who knew, the first time i listened to y&YM that this band would change SO MUCH. i have so much respect for them. this band is truly genius. i mean, jebusss, theyve succeeded in creating a new sound with EVERY lp. nothing beats that. i didnt like it at first coz it made me sad - but wowowowowowow theyre sooooo damn GENIUS!!! ahhh third time now.. im really liking this single!  i only listened to live version once and couldnt get my around it so i never tried again. but this is awesome!! okay.. my overwhelming post/rant is over. thanks for listening |

wot the fk are u talking about.. ....i want it to sound like every song.... wtf are u on about my first impressions i didnt like it..... i love the live version.. and by unnecessery..i mean it adds nothing..and would probs be better without it.. it sounds like something u do just b4 a song..to check the pedals are working. im sorry..i dont sit around here looking at pictures wanting to blow these 4 guys...im giving my honest musical opinion.. i even sed...i hope it clicks soon.. but to my it all seemed a little strange. the reason i LOVE this forum is coz we can always have intelligent music-related discussions without gettign fiesty.. i havent read beyond this post i quoted, i think i see where it was headed.. into politics of the comment. i just think its funny i made a similar comment about the solo (this is a double post) before i read his thoughts. i thought it (matt's solo towards the very end) was uneccessary also. but, i think i will come to like it. i mean, of all the kol albums theres a mere ONE song i dont like (trunk), so i wont still dislike the solo in a month lol very gritty, love it. im still listening to it on repeat |

This is amazing in comparison to the festival footage I've seen. I mean I loved it anyway but wow I'm so much more impressed now. Just shows how much you miss out on with live versions. Epic.
