Well, what an eye-opening evening last night was. We can safely say we are NEVER returning to the reading rivermead venue, infact we predict that only 20% of the people there were actually there for the music. What pollution my friends! In all our gigging experiences, we have never witnessed such shitty 'fan' behaviour. Kings of Leon were no doubt awesome, they sounded delicious. However, we felt the evening was dominated by the swarm of chav like cunts who contaminated the whole venue with their putrid behaviour. They thought it was uber cool to throw glasses, shout obscenities and act like wanna be pete doherty's. Even our fellow followill's seemed damn disappointed and Caleb ended the evening with a one finger salute to the crowd. We came away feeling super sobre. We love the kings and hated the fact that the dickheads in the crowds spoiled it, forget about the money and time it took us to get to reading......Caleb thinks we were all cocks at that venue. We missed about two songs in total, whilst crawling our way out of a 'free for all who are here to "cause a riot"'. Seriously thought we were gonna die for a sceond. Then Holly got smacked in the back of the head with a glass (fucking hurt) and Rach got a face full of warm beer......and no, we smelt it.....it wasnt piss! Then a random fight broke out between these two dickheads. HELLO the kings of leon are playing live......what the fuck are you doing'. Caleb put it nicely 'why have you guys gotta keep throwing stuff? The rest of us are dancing' Shit it makes us so angry why the hell do these people go to the gigs??!! There was some twat next to me, mascarading as a KOL fan shouting 'your shit' to the features, he was some twelve year old wanna be and we wanted to punch him in the face. To all of you 'people' who ruined ours and the other 20% of FANS nights we say 'learn to swim dickheads, learn to swim' Wouldnt it be funny to get all those cocks on stage, strip them naked and cain there asses with beer and glasses......oops we're getting a bit carried away. But we are pissed off man. We hope somehow the kings will read one of these messages to realise that there were a couple of people in there somewhere, who just wanted to dance and sing and hear their hereos. The fight goes on........... The new breed of chav's with mullets will becoming to a gig near you soon...............watch your backs!!! Holly and Ray xxx P.S. can anyone think of a way to screen gigs so that only people with sincerity in their hearts can come in?! or shall we keep dreaming.

dont worry hon - the boys would have seen that not everyone was being an asshole, they must have a pretty good view from the stage and its shit that you had such a rough night, people like that really piss me off. they should put random security guys in with the crowd. hopefully next time you see them it will be better.

that sucks
i found myself to be standing infront of what would be known as a 'chav' on the 21st and i could feel her trying to weave her way in between me and this poor girl next to me so many times i listened in on her and her friends talking to hear 'ah only know 2 ov der songz' FUCK OFF lady! and stop shoving your hand infront of my face to film the show as well as deliberatley poking the back of my head in an attempt to piss me off!..it did work but i had enough self controll not to turn round and knock her one in the face! I even felt the need to tell the girl next to me not to let this girl to push her out of the way it was hard work trying to stay in my place but i managed (which was surprising as i'm barely 5ft tall!)
sorry to hear you had such a hard time..hope it didn't spoil it too much for you!

oh man, that sucks. I really feel for you, cause I would be pissed too if the kings were playing and I couldn't enjoy it just because of a bunch of assholes who didn't really wanna be there anyway.

totally agree Nothing! i was right at the front in front of caleb and after 2 songs and after have 3 pints of beer chucked at me and having my hair nealry ripped out of my scalp, i nearly passed out coz i was so squashed! i had to get out, and i spent the rest of the night in the middle of the crowd. im never going to rivermead again. this was my first EVER gig, let alone my forst kol gig, and those fucking chav-like cunts can burn in hell!!!! they ruined it for me, and for the others who were there purely to sing and dance to the greatest band! kol aint gonna be bak to rivermead and i don't blame honestly!!!!

i think thats pretty awesome that caleb gave those fuckers the "one finger salute" when they left. yeah, and they can tell who the idiots are so they know the whole place wasn't being retarded.

I really hate when fans are soo awful. It's the worst when people try and push their way to the front. If you want front row, do the time waiting in line outside like the real fans do. Don't get there when doors open, and expect to push your way to the front.
I'm sorry you couldn't fully enjoy the kings.

I know how you feel Nothing. I hate that. I really hate moshers and crowd surfers, they make the gig totally unenjoyable. Little people like me get hurt so bad.

i guess that was one plus point about having it as seating in newcatle...no one could get to the front unless they had tickets and their was no crowd surfing

Don't get there when doors open, and expect to push your way to the front. thats what i did at Cardiff. but i am a real fan. i know its a shit thing to do, but hey, i was getting drunk in the bar across the road. we went in after The Features had been on.

i guess that was one plus point about having it as seating in newcatle...no one could get to the front unless they had tickets and their was no crowd surfing yeah but it was weird because of it wasnt it? and i personally think it's way better having standing as your place in the crowd doesnt depend on what time you wanted to get there and be, but it depends on what date you got your ticket on or the place you got it. as different places will have different ticket allocations and things. and also, say you hadnt been paid then you get shit tickets but it isnt your fault. as good as it was, i would always rather see them stood, even if i do get kicked in the head by a crowdsurfer!

selina go online tonight you must tell me your fabulous adventures!
i think i agree as well - standing tickets ARE better because where you stand depends on your dedication lol.. like how long you are prepared to wait in line.. for me that was 5 and a half hours and it was the best fun ever hahahah i sound like a loser.

yeah, I'm a little nervous, cause the gig I'm going to in august (I think, fingers crossed) is seated. and good tickets are really hard to come by! the ones I found on ticketmaster were like 25 bucks a pop, but they were on the far left of the stage kind of far back. and all of the scalpers are selling seats as close as five rows from the stage for 105! crazy! I don't know what I'm gonna do... maybe I'll just buy the 25 dollar seats. but it's gonna be torture considering I was front row in march!

yeah torture is a harsh word, but pretty acceptable! i found it super super weird being on the balcony, and just to the side. ive never ever ever been to the side, i like to be face on, and see it all. being at the side was just weird for me! if you can afford it buy the expensive ones, but if not just get those other ones. just remember, whatever happens you'll be seeing the kings, so torture or not, it'll still be brilliant!
