That nearly brought a tear of joy to my eye because it was such a special night for me. I didn't pick up on the little nuances though - as Caleb was quite clearly looking worried!!! Hahahaha!! I do distinctly remember Nacho standing in though and doing a wonderful job. And then when he handed over to Nathan I finally worked out what was going on! |

I would love to see them at a concert like this instead of festivals. But after a guy called them inbreads at a Belgian gig, my hopes aren't very high. |

In all honesty I feel that Jared and Caleb are the sweetest. When I got to see them at the apple in-store all of them were trying really hard to avoid the fans (which is normal, I understand not wanting to be attacked by a million sweaty men and women). In the end after some people (read: me) vocalized that the boys should come out of hiding because they could be clearly seen and started getting all jokey with the apple workers and the Kings' people they came out.
They signed lots of stuff, had lots of patience, but that was only Caleb and Jared. Matthew was really haughty about it, which was funny because Caleb had to keep bring stuff over to him to sign and then hand it back to the owner. I remember thinking "What a bitch." But, whatever.
Caleb and Jared took pictures, spoke to fans (Jared did. Some girl spoke almost an inch away from his face. He seemed scared, but engaged in the conversation as most he could, it seemed like), almost headed where they were headed until people (read: me) stopped them to take a picture with them. They happily obliged. I even stopped Caleb before he was headed into an underground restaurant (which is a slightly jerk move on my behalf. The way I got the picture is a story in itself, but I digress.) solely because I hate how the girls who took pictures with them were all jumpy and touchy and giving them "seductive" looks that I decided best to wait 'til the banshees were gone and calmly ask for pictures.
They seemed like really nice guys. I think that they're only being assholes because they've been touring so much and it's not like fans aren't susceptible to be human. We all have our bad days, our bad weeks, our bad years, our bad life.
Maybe they're having a bad one. One what? I don't know, but it sure sounds like it.

Yeah, I concur with the bad day, week, year sentiment. Everytime I've seen them I have to keep changing my mind about which one is the biggest asshole. Matt was a prima dona the first time I saw them, but he seemed to have sorted himself out on all later dates. However, the next time Jared was the aloof one...and then it was Caleb...and so on...the same goes for interviews I've read or watched. They have very spectral personalities it would appear...I don't think we'll ever really be able to say one way or another unless we get the chance to get to know them outside of the artist/fan relationship. Some bands throw themselves out there and you can clearly tell they are good people, or conversely assholes, but KOL just are that type of band.

I can't believe how much you lot seam to have met them, I was given a flyer for a chili's after show party once and thought that the clubn were just using them to boost numbers so didn't go. What an idiot.
