why wasnt it the most enjoyable experience? it was my first glasto, bloody loved it! Oh God - where to start? I'll try to be brief........ Well, it was my fourth Glasto and definitely the worst, I feel it has really changed a lot. Of course the terrible weather didn't help one bit. It started badly - I got there Thursday afternoon and there were literally no places to camp. I ended up next to some toilets . There are soooo many more people now which theoretically should make it better but I found it almost impossible to see any of the bands in the tents because they were always too full. The number of vehicles constantly coming and going - I fell over on Sunday straight into the mud trying to dodge a van (there was nowhere to go). The state of the toilets (the worst I've ever seen by far). The size of the grounds - felt like I spent most of my time walking to/from something. Contrast all of that with Latitude - there were none of those problems at all. I hate to say it but I think Glasto is really badly organised. And the mud was just depressing.

I can laugh about it now - I tried to see Mark Ronson on Sunday evening and when I got there I couldn't get anywhere near the tent. And it was completely surrounded by a mud moat!! So I stood there for a while contemplating just trying to have a listen but people kept walking past and kicking mud all over me and I couldn't take it anymore!! I was soooo pissed off at the time I just went back to my tent and sulked. Latitude was just incredible this year but I fear it will suffer the same fate as Glasto as soon as word gets out........ It's the perfect little festival - highly recommended.
