I just posted this in another thread but was rather shocked by it...

'Kings Of Leon drummer Nathan Followill has proposed to his girlfriend, sparking arguments in the band about the group's future. Nathan popped the question to his other half Jessie Baylin during dinner at a restaurant in New York.
Not all his bandmates are thrilled with the news, however. The announcement has sparked doubts in the band about their future.
"If he doesn't get a pre-nuptual agreement, he's an idiot," Nathan's brother and frontman Caleb Followill told The Independent.
"Me and him have a lot invested in each other," he continued. "We started this band. We bought land and houses together. We've been best friends since we were little biddy boys. I don't want him to make mistakes. We have friends in bands who are married and their songs start being watered-down because they're all about the same girl."
Nathan countered his brother's comments by saying: "Look at Bono--he's been married his whole career. It's different for me than it is for Caleb, I'm pushing 30. It's always hard when big brother starts devoting time to a girl that would normally be devoted to little brother."

Eurrgh, i odn't want to think about this as i haven't ever seen them live. I'd hate for KOL to be soem short-lived band, they're better than that.
But i dont really think theres problems as it doesn't sound like it from what Caleb and NAthan are saying, its just another fight they have on tour, but because they've gotten bigger a magazine decides to report on it.

OMG im speechless! jebus, i thought caleb would be happy for nathan (even though im outrageously jealous, hello i CRIED wen i found out, yes im a loser)...wow! i cant believe that interview thingy..thats harsh man..i mean i always hear how they're like 'we fight and we break up every day' (but thats a joke), but i think this is a lot bigger..i mean they do own property together and more importantly their close brothers... nathans wife to be probably feels uncomfortable, i dont they shouldve been so public..although it is still juicy! but point is, thats big news.....i had no idea! but i reckon nathan should sign a prenup, not coz she seems mean, just to be the safe side (its non of my damn business either way)..ive just seen sum really messed up shit on VH1's most expensive divorces. Nathn's parents are divorced (NOT suggesting a trend, honest) and wen he was a kid he probably thought that would never happen, i dont think many kids do, but u kno it does...
poor gal, thats so mean to make it PUBLIC!! im happy for him, but it was a real shock for me, coz im an idiot, but have they been together for a year??

in most interviews with caleb, he seems to be a bit over-dramatic so maybe he's over-stating his lack of enthusiasm over nathan's engagement. ultimately, they're brothers before they're bandmates so i think their brotherly love will save the band, if it's in peril which it's not. everything will work out fine.
but then again, i am an optimist.

doubts about the band over that? are you serious??
any other lad here with brothers here will know what i mean when i say brothers fight ALL the time, yet its near imposssible to stay mad for more then a day.
the worst case of brothers constantly fighting would have to be the Gallagher brothers - but look at them, they're still going.

Albeit a little bitchy on Caleb's behalf. I would understand that he is worried as they have a joint business venture, but surely he is just sounding off. Their not stupid enough to air their business publicly like this in a serious manner! |

Yeah, you know how the press is. But, the band is Caleb and Nathan's baby so I highly doubt they'd be able to break it up like that. Another factor is Matthew and Jared. They can't just break the band up on their own terms, Caleb and Nathan. And, like someone said: if nathan ties the knot he should be sacked surely there are more followills ready to step up??? There seem to be Followills EVERYWHERE. And, if not, we, the girls at the happyaloneforum, promise to do our best to produce more Followills to keep this GREAT, HISTORIC band alive. And, if some of us don't want to be a part of this baby-making factory, the others will dedicate themselves to making some sort of time maching that will age the boy to the proper number. |

She doesn't strike me as a farm girl, though. Especially if she had to live on a farm with a bunch of boys - one of which really resents her!
I, however, would love it. I'd even wear overalls (gulp) and milk a cow if I had to.

Argh it's in every single music site  and I have no doubts about the bands future after Nathan's wedding. I just can consider we'll have surprises with new lyrics and that stuff but not (just) because of Nathan... |

surely it's just the interviewers making it a lot more dramatic than what is...

I should think if they move to Tennessee they wouldn't have to live on a farm. Nashville's a booming little city and has plenty of non-farm rich people areas ;-) And I must say that I do hope this is just banter between brothers, in fact I am fairly positive that it is and their brotherly love will keep the band together *crosses fingers*
