Yeah. I'm sorta into the whole not-washing-my-hair school. . .but for different reasons. *ahem*
Uh. Well not washing your hair builds up the oil&grease&little people you have living in your hair so that it could maintain that stiff yet natural look.
So..if you like washing your hair, a creme or wax pomade or something like it would do just fine so long as it's a pomade. Anything else will make your hair look gross..such as not washing your hair for weeks and wearing a shower cap when you bathe.
I'd fucking love to see Jared in a pink frilly shower cap. How dainty.

Three days is as long as I can go without washing my hair. And even that becomes unbearable. I think the general consensus is that you shouldn't wash your hair every day because it strips the natural oils but....... with hair like mine I haven't really got a choice.

But on the hair product debate...I used to have a haircut similar to Jared (yes, I'm female...but come on, he looks like a soccer mom sometimes)...and the key to hair like that is blowdrying and having hair that's made for the kind of cut you have. You aren't going to get naturally curly hair to settle down and lay straight or straight hair to be voluminous. Also, try a fine particle hair spray, because it doesn't get crusty and hard but it adds texture so you can scrunch the hair to get it looking more "unkept"

Because I'm the yeti and I'm not supposed to otherwise I'll be too pleasing to those few that do see me.
I kid. Slightly.
I don't wash it because I'm lazy and it's such a hassle. I don't have any type hair. It's not curly, it's not wavy, it's not straight, it's not coarse: it's RETARDED.
It's all of the above and trying to get it to look slightly normal and agreeable takes way too much time.
I find that if I wash it once and just leave it alone for a while it starts taming itself due to the whole oils thing.
I just wish I could wash and go because I, oddly enough, love washing my hair. It's just impossible, though.

but then again, i'm sure the Kings have a stylist for their hair. Jared probably has one of his own...
I wash my hair every Tuesday and Friday, i've done the math and those are the best days for having good hair for the going-out occasions. I get pissed off when my program gets messed up. For example yesterday at a gig i got beer all over me daaaaarn!
All hairdressers advice u the same thing, if possible wash twice a week, not more

the whole wax thing...umm.. try spray wax or pomade..my brother has regis wax..the twisty kind so you rub it on your head and makes for a messy head of hair...but i like spray wax better...sometimes it helps with pomade if you put a blow dryer to it..melts it so you can spread and work through hair

but yes, i have heard the boys from KOL say that the secret to their hair is not washing it...i suspect wen theyre on tour or playing festivals..u know?
i mean imagine how annoying it WAS (seeing as CALEB just DECIDED to cut his freakin hair) to straighten his hair everyday..im a chick and it annoys me (i have the grossest hair ever and i recently got a full frontal fringe, the ones that go staright across, so now it ALWAYS has to be straightened which kills me)..imagine how much time caleb had to spend doing his hair for the screamin girlies!

Oh straightening...good lord I hate that. Thank god I have stick straight hair. Seriously, I know most people complain about their hair, but I love mine...not too thick, not overly thing...it's straight, but I can always curl it, and because it's thin it only takes a few minutes...it's shiny and a pretty decent color so I can avoid pricey highlights. Yeah, I hate to brag, but I have it pretty easy. Best part though? No cowlicks...so I can part my hair any way I want.

(coz i have such wavy hair)...wen u do that right it looks absolutely hot! (not to sound like im bragging) ...i really like it coz it covers half my head which is good seeing as i think i have the most uglyest head in the world (yes i exagerate, but every one pix on the selves). here r some pics below - mayb everyone culd post pix of their HAIRDOOS...? that would b cool ..if u wanna post pics just of ur urselves u can do it in the randomness area of the board (thats a good thread) ... pls excuse my really stupid poses lol.  if u get the straight across fringe get it longer on the sides nd higher in the middle ..trust me its betta ..that way i think it sorta resembles 'leb's old one : ) |
