Interviewer: Hi Caleb
Caleb: Hello
I: How are you?
C: Good, how are you?
I: Fine, Eh Caleb you know, I've got a son..this is the cheesy part of the interview hehe, Ive got..I've got a son..do you wanna know his name
C:...eeeeeeeh....yeah
I: Leon!
C: Leon?
I: Leon yeah, I'm not kidding you and I got all your records when he was born and now I am a big fan..and I saw your show this afternoon and did you like it?
C: Yeah..yeah..uhm..this has been kinda a funny tour..we played in Holland yesterday and the people were kinda..kinda dead..
I: Dead?! How come?
C: I dunno...maybe they were high
I: They smoked too much weed? It's becoming a bit of a problem in Holland..
C: Hehe...but today we didnt know what to expect but we just went out there and played our show and I thought it was a great crowd..and I thought it was allot better than yesterday.
I: The weather isnt that nice..you can see from here..the whole crowd and it's raining..it's a bit cold..
C:...Yeah..
I: It's windy aswell..eh was it a bit of a bummer for you? The weather..
C: Eh well no it was actually..it wasnt raining that bad when we were playing
I: Oh.
C: But I could see my breath whenever I..eh sing so..it was a little cold.
I: But the summertime its a bit weird
C: Yeah yeah and thats the thing with the festival..you know..you have to roll with the punches..and they seemed like a good crowd..they were up for it.
I: They were very up for it..ehm you guys grew on love the whole band is very close..did you feel allot of love aswell from the Werchter crowds?
C:..Uuuhm..yeaaah..I guess so..I mean you know..uuh..I mean just the fact that they were getting along with us..and they dont nessecairly know every song..but they..I mean they were a good crowd..and by the end of it we walked off and I think we were all very pleased with what had happened.
I: That's nice. Uhhm..do you uhhh...have any tips for us..because..uuh..there..there's two more days after this one for this festival..it it..I dont know the weather for tomorrow..now it's raining a bit..its becoming a bit muddy..do you have tips to survive 4 days of beer..music..mud..eh noisy camping and stuff like that?
C: Eh..er eh I could..eh..4 days of beer I can take..4 days of music I can take..the mud and the camping..I dont know..but but that all together..I think..
I: But how do you deal with 4 days of beer..for instance
C: Be..Err..just keep drinking..hehe..you'll feel like shit if ya dont
I: Hahah..eeh oke..eh..I just saw that Kings of Leon got a new tambourine-man..
C: Yeah yeah..he's been popping up all over the place
I: Eddie Vedder on stage with Kings of Leon..is he is he a big fan of yours or is he a friend?
C: Yeah..I think both..he's a..we went of tour with him and before we even did a tour with him he wanted to come onstage and do a song with us and he was like my idol when I was like 14 years old so..everytime he does it its like the first time..we have a good time on stage together and he also gets the crowd going pretty good whenever he comes out there..so hehehe
I: I never saw anyone play the tambourine that enthausiastic as Eddie Vedder..a few hours ago..are you eh gonna see the show tonight or eh are you gonna see Bloc Party
C: Eh..I dont know if I ever say Bloc Party before..Im gonna check it out a little bit..
I: Are you a fan?
C: Eh...of Bloc Party?
I: Yeah.
C: Ehm I dont know..I mean I dont know enough about em..I heared a couple of songs that were pretty good..but..I'll see uhm..I mean I judge allot of it on how a band can perform live..I hate when I hear something and it sounds really good..and then you watch it and then youre really dissapointed..I cant wait for Queens of the Stone Age and obviously Pearl Jam..and Arctic Monkeys are playing too right?
I: Yeah.
C: Yeah..should be a great day of music
I: Isnt it a nice festival..hehe
C: Yeah..yeah..I'm gonna have to slow down on my drinks otherwise I'm not gonna make it.hehe
I: Hahaa..Alright Caleb I wish you allot of fun tonight..and thanks for the interview
