Went for our third gig in Manchester last night (the gig itself was amazing) and managed to blag tickets to the afterparty. Although this kind of put a downer to our night as Caleb turned out to be a complete and utter wanker! Just really rude, shoved past my friend to get a better view of this performer that was there, after ignoring our attempts at conversation! We expected a bit of cockiness but he definately exceeded our expectations. Has he ever heard of simple politeness? Nathan and Matt were being nice to everyone, Nathan was down to earth and funny, Jared was a bit dull though, he's just a pretty face. We met Nacho and he was the nicest Followill in the room, he was nice as he recognised us in the front row and actually could joke around with us without having a pretentious stick up his arse. They need to get over themselves and relax. Don't do it. Otherwise Nacho will be taking over the throne.
Love, Ex Kings of leon fans (as of this experience)

Oh, popsie, don't take what 'Leb did personally. He is weird. Period. There's no rhyme or reason to him. I'm sure he didn't mean to hurt your feelings. He just acts like he's been raised by wolves. It's the way he is.
Jared's a smart guy and by no means dull. It sounds like he was tired or homesick or something. Go easy on 'em.

i wouldnt say caleb is weird...! he probably just wasnt feeling himself. and jared is a great guy, but they probably just werent feeling it or something. i dont think you got a fair representation of how they actually are. but as long as the gig was brilliant, just remember that

Really? Maybe weird's the wrong word.... Caleb's... unique. Hehehe. I dunno. I can't figure him out. Like, the way he interacts with people seems kinda strange. He's aloof or something. Anyway! My point is that it's easy to misread him. I'm sure he didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings after that gig. EDIT: I think he's weird! EDIT EDIT: Ohhhhhh I can't sleep... Ignore me. EDIT EDIT EDIT: Oh wait... You're right. Y'know, he's never gone out in public wearing a dress or anything. Or, like, arm floaties. He doesn't talk funny. Why, he really isn't weird at all, is he? (Unless he really is eating a mouse....) Okay. Then I think he's eccentric! Just a little. I wish I could sleep dammit!

seriously have you ever thought that maybe he just wasnt in the mood, coz when i met them they were all amazing and funny. some of the nicest lads about, totally not pretenious.
you need to remember the tour is getting to an end now and theyre starting to feel tired and faces all start to blur when you do the same thing day in day out. give them some slack.
p.s is that caleb with kimberly stewart and if so what he putting in his mouth?

I was at the gig to but didnt get in the after party. we waited around ouside for a bit and they came out saying they didnt want to sign anything, we all did the little moan and Caleb turned around o.k i'll sign. He signed my poster, he seemed a bit down & i asked him why and it turned out some girl had knocked a drink all over him backstage and he was pissed off. The other three didnt sign but i got a wave of Matt when i was stood near the bus. You just have to catch them at the right time i suppose. Oh, and me and my mate with stood with a group of others and we started to sing Pistol of Fire they were all in the window watching us and having a right laugh at us! it was so funny, Jared was pissing himself watching our little dances. I didnt get any pictures with the boy's but i loved the concert so thats all that matters Nic xx p.s: is it just me or are they really tiny?! i couldnt believe it!

Sorry the post was written as soon as we got back so were still annoyed about it. Fair enough they were probably tired or whatever, but there's no need to be a complete ass whoever you are, I don't think that just because he's in a rock band it gives him the right to walk all over people whenever he wants. Sad though that you some of you guys met them in good moods, would have been nice, well it was just caleb really, the rest of them were nice. But ya, this is just 2 peoples opinions so...meh. I don't want to start like big fights or whatever, cos i dont like that. I just wanted to tell you guys bout our experience. Think of it what you will.

This can be the problem with meeting your idols! Sometimes it's best not to, then you can't be disappointed.

i've had the opportunity to hang out with the fellows twice while they toured the east coast fall 05(when their tickets didn't sell out in minutes. WTF@NYCROSELAND?!?!?!). i can honestly say that i was pleasantly surprised at how nice and genuine they all were. maybe im from the east coast and immune to everyone being jerks, so when you meet people with their type of success, you're taken back at how real they are. they were kind, funny, and a real good time. i'm sorry caleb had a bad night when you met him but i can promise you, he is a great guy.
and yes, they are all very very very tiny.

I have to admit, I thought hanging out with them would be like hanging out with Ghandi, Mary Poppins, Mother Thresa and Florance Nightingale at a tea party. Who would have thought they have ego's and didn't want to spend all night talking to fans

I was so surprised at how small they were, I was told they were over 6ft but im 5,8 and we were about the same height when I saw them ourside the London gig last week.
Nacho is definitely my favourite Followill, he has always been really lovely when ive spoken to him!!!

Yeah Nacho is so sweet. My boyfriend said to him last night (Manchester) when he was loading the trucks that he was 'the coolest followhill' he looked so chuffed.

Fellows. Awesom word, I need to use it more often.
I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but please don't let it stop you being a fan. It doesn't change how good the music is! Just enjoy that.
