Hey Has anyone ever been to the after show parties?
If so was it hard to get in?
Do you reckon it would be possible to get in if ur underage ?

some of the afterparties are hard to get in if you're underage it just depends on the different laws in diff places. like we had passes to one in portland , oregon but because we were 20 not 21 we couldn't get in but we were able to go the all the ones in SF becasue they have less strict rules there

Hey, while we're on the subject - may I take a brief survey please (this is for an article I'm writing about another band's fans/street-teams and I'm curious to compare).
How do each of you who go to the after-parties, find out about them? From the band? Someone who works with the band? Other Happy-Aloners?

I'm from Australia, so you only have to be 18 to get in to everything dont know how strict it is though, people often think im 18 but i guess it depends if they are checking ID. Hope I can when they are here in November, now that would be a good party.
Did you have fun when you got into the ones in SF?

I used to live in sydney, now i live 2 hours south, but yeh i dont have a clue where it would be, im so keen to somehow get in. Did they have after parties when they were here in jan, i was away on holidays so i didnt see the shows.

I have a feeling that if they were in Sydney they'd maybe go somewhere like Oxford st or the Cross . . . well i hope they will anyways  |

yeah i reckon as well. i never found out where the afterparty was last time they came. i was underage anyways though. i sort of know someone who went last time though...hmm i don't know if i know her enough to ask though. hahaha lots of people went to the basement though after big day out last time?

We found out about through them or their crew or the soundguy for the shout out louds. They're not too hard to get in to but for us I think it was easier than normal. All the afterparties we went to were at the venue. The SF afterparties were ok. The night that we had to leave early the guys ended up playing a little impromptu set.

I met him the day before Lollapalooza, so there was no afterparty since they had to leave for Chicago right away...I'm SEVERLY jealous. I can't wait for his new solo album. |
