jbob, they might be guys jeans indeed. they said their mom takes in their jeans for them. that way you can make em as skinny as you want, so it wouldnt matter if you started out with girls or guys jeans.

mmm.. Valid point.. very valid point.. I hate those small back pockets! Your damn wallet falls out all of the time.. Levi's sell a range here in New Zealand and in Australia for girls which is the like same cut as the frayed misfits and stuff, ya know, super low waist, tapered leg and stuff, it's called the '509 Tuff Skinny' and the back pockets on those are a normal size (by guys standards) so he could be wearing those.. But they haven't been down under in awhile I don't think, so it wouldn't make sense that he'd buy a pair here.. And I'm pretty sure they don't sell them in the UK and the Sates. but ahh.. I think there's a point in there somewhere. The biggest difference besides the rise between mens and womens levis is the back pocket size. Women's jeans tend to have significantly smaller back pockets. From looking at jareds from the front they look like womens. This is becuase they look pretty low. They are also stretch and waaay skinnier than any levis I have seen for guys. However, from the back shot posted earlier, it looks like he has got pretty normal sized back pockets (and it is obviously levis from the red tab). I guess I'm a bit stumped.. Unless you know what you're doing, like you're pretty handy with a thread and needle, I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself..
Your best bet would be to go to a tailor and tell them what you want, or better yet take in a pair of jeans with the like ideal cut, and they'll measure those up, and make the changes to the other pair.
I think what they do is just take them in at the seams and stuff.. It get's pretty tricky around the crotch and stuff because if you just take in the thighs, then the ass get's all baggy and stuff, and if you take in the ass the wrong way then the pockets look all funny.. Confusing business.

yeah i think the crotch/ass area is tricky. luckily the jeans that i'm getting fixed are perfect fit everywhere except from the knee down. they are too flared so thats all i have to change.

good point, I remember reading about their mom taking them in.
I checked out the tuff skinnys a few weeks back and they fit perfectly except I thought the pockets were quite small, especially for girls. I'll check em out again

All of my jeans you do up with the right hand. Yeah my friend took in her jeans herself, except only from the knee down and they were really quite baggy around the thighs and bum...they make noises when she walks  |

Ok, I've decided to resurrect this thread. If it dies a death then at least I tried... It was originally for discovering the make of Jared's jeans, and a lot of the denim information here is actually quite interesting, but I think it could have greater uses. I find guys who can fit into very skinny/girls jeans sexy, but it's also a tiny bit depressing, because I probably couldn't fit into the same pair, at least not without some serious effort!
