I have to agree with ya, Erin. Matty needs to lose those glasses as those gorgeous eyes should never be covered. Did the above gig take place today? From Shortlist (interview link in the Share section)  I just had to bring this on over to the next page since he looks rather amazing in the above pic. *swoons* Happy Birthday to the cutest most adorable guitar player I know! |

Yup, Live Lounge was this morning and they just played a mini gig at Maida Vale too. Both for BBC Radio. Links of all four songs from the new album that were played today are already up in the Album Anticipation thread, as well as links to their STUNNING cover of Robyn's Dancing On My Own in the Share section.

Thanks, Erin. I saw Nathan and Jared's tweets about the gig after I asked you. I'm trying to be good and hold off and listen to the rest of the songs until I buy the CD the day it comes out (14 days and counting). I love the smell of new music and that's what I always do with bands that are near and dear to my heart.

I'm the same; I just want the actual cd, or LP, whichever is here first. I love going to the cd shop, chatting with the owner about the band (he was jealous/impressed I met Jared  ), admiring the promo material I've asked him to hold back for me (his shop is too small to put it up anyway), then drive home, rip the plastic off and put it on, while going throug the booklet; to read the lyrics, admire the pics & also read liner notes. I've just always loved reading liner notes.  I listened to the new songs twice each, except for Dancing On My Own, that's pretty much been on repeat today. I mean, I bought Arctic Monkeys' AM this morning, but I've not played it yet..! Besides, that cover's not gonna be on the album, so I can easily hold out for the album now. And of course I have AM (and new Placebo later this week) to distract me, too. |

I actually have a feeling that we just haven't seen much of that side of him before. I remember an article in which it said Matt was voted class clown several times in HS.

Aww I just had a hankering to look up the below home vid up as I remember Matty being adorable with his game descriptions. I hadn't seen this in sooooo long. Caleb's southern accent is so frickin' adorable. And isn't that Jared's former fiancee in the vid...can't remember her name...oh it was Alisa, right?
