my name is jojones88... i have been here for a while. i first got into the kings in 03 w/ youth and youngmanhood.

i read an album review in spin mag, and i thought the review made the guys sound interesting so i purchased the first album off of amazon. i instantly loved the band's music. i have seen them 4 times in atlanta. there second album was even better than their first, but because of the times has to be the band's "dark side of the moon".

because of the times is absolutely perfect, but since then i think the band has lost their way. its like they are trying too hard to make these crappy billboard singles. "use somebody" and "sex on fire" were just terrible tracks for these guys.

i got only by the night 5 days before it even went on sale in the uk. the bestbuy near me stocked too early. i listened to the album over and over. sure enough to songs i hate are the ones that make these guys famous in the states. the next concert i went to everyone knew the words to those tracks, but none of the others. they also attracted a new crowd of fratboy douchebags... there performance wasnt as energetic and raw as it had been in the past.

come around sundown had only a couple tracks that i like. i cant freakin stand radioactive. its terrible. its more of that sex on fire/use somebody crap.

im not trying to go against the crowd purposely. i dont hate every single these guys do. notion was great.

i'll always love these guys first 3 albums and have mixed feelings about only by the night. come around sundown is bad. i have amassed a large cd/vinyl collection of these guys. i dont know why i kept buying their things when i began losing interest 2 years ago.

im no longer a fan. im selling most of my collection, but keeping my vinyls of the first 4 albums...
