I'm the satanic sleeptalking roommate. When I get overtired or dehydrated I shout in my sleep. One time I sat up and screamed, "WHERE ARE MY CRACKERS?" and then went back to bed. I guess after the second day of Lollapalooza I was shouting about Jarvis Cocker. It's bad. I hallucinate in my sleep a lot too, which means I talk through my dreams. God, now I realize why my roommate moved out. My fiance talks in his sleep, but the weird part is that you can ask him questions and he'll answer them. He also sleeps with his eyes wide opened. They open when he is sleeping, no lie, it freaks me the hell out.

Huh, does he like reveal the secrets of his subconscious when he answers in his sleep, because that could be handy.

That's good...a little blackmail never hurt anyone, leverage is a good thing, or so I've found dealing with 5 year olds all day.
Anyway...I'm off to bed.

After I saw Exorcism of Emily Rose I would scream prayers in my sleep. Which is messed up, because I may have been raised Catholic, but I'm probably the least religious person I know. Surprisingly my roommates didn't get freaked out. If someone had woken me up screaming prayers I would've been the hell out of there the next day. Oh, and my roommates listened to RENT non-stop as well. That and disney music...all the time...ugh...

the exorcism of emily rose was the biggest let down. the only scary part was when they showed the picture of her when she was dead.

yea, i agree, it was pretty un-scary. but when they showed her dorm room and how it was at the end of the hall by a creepy door that kept opening and shutting, well that's kinda exactly how my dorm room was positioned and that's where i was when i was watching it...at 3 am....so that's pretty much the only thing that irked me.

Well...I thought it was scary... and it didn't help that all of my guy friends made it a nightly ritual to call me at 3am on the dot for the next few weeks. And my boyfriend would set my alarm for 3am. I am traumatized for life now.

I can't watch scary movies. I can freak myself out way too easily on my own, let alone with a movie made specifically for that purpose. Hell...all I have to do is go to scopes.com and I start getting nightmares.

No, it won't scare you...I'm the only one that it freaks out I'm sure. It's just a website that debunks urban legends...but the concept of urban legends scares me, so by default I get scared. I mean, I can get the creeps by reading the identity theft or Disney section of the website, I don't even dare to enter the "murder" section.

my fear of things fluctuates...I blame it on...well...things... for example, I used to be terrified of needles, I locked the doctor out of the room once when I found out I was getting one. Now my favorite movie is Trainspotting. I also was physically unable to sit through scary/violent movies without feeling like I was being harmed myself, and then I watched The Shining, and actually laughed at parts. Now my only real fear at the moment is gouging eyeballs...don't ask...

I'm afraid of really illogical things... my fears in order of severity are:
1. Birds 2. Speed boat rides 3. Hoping insects (not flying, or crawling, just hopping) 4. Certain children's movies (Wizard of Oz, Willy Wonka, ET, Snow White) 5. Incomprehendible or cryptic music (a la "Revolution 9" or the end of "Day in the Life" by The Beatles)

I have an intense dislike for birds. I always stomp my foot at pigeons in the park just to scare them. I am an evil person

I once was at a really huge horse show that was kind of a big deal...and winning would have significantly increased the value of my horse...so I'm about to go into the arena to perform a pattern and I realize there are about 20-50 pigeons flying and walking around in the middle. I hope they will fly away when my horse gets near, but when all they do is kind of disperse I hyperventilate and end up scaring my own horse and blow the pattern. My trainer was super pissed at me, but there was nothing I could do...it was like a primal level of my being just snapped.

a fear of birds runs in my family. it's ridiculous. my great-grandma, grandma, mom and me all have a strong dislike/fear of birds.
