Yeah, sometimes it sucks being old, but I'm the same person I've always been. I listen to the same music that I liked when I was 15. I still find the same things funny as I did then. I still like to look at the younger, pretty girls, although it has to be kept to just looking. Sometimes I feel like an 18 year old trapped in a 38 year old's body. It's wierd. One day you go to sleep, and the next day you wake up and you're 38 years old and half of your life is probably over. That's life I guess. Just this year I decided to live more. I decided to take every opportunity I was given. I'm not missing the things I want from life anymore. Time is not in my favor anymore, so I decided to make the best of it. I took my first plane ride this year, I'm taking 3 vacations, I'm going to 2 concerts(KOL is one). This is going to be my summer to remember. I used to always live for the day, and somewhere along the line, I stopped. Not anymore. Who knows, I could get hit by a bus tomorrow. Now I Live for THE MOMENT. Thanks, and Karma for making an old man's day.  |

I know what you mean..granted I'm a bit younger but with every year that passes it seems like there are fewer and fewer months in a year..
But I think you got it right..plan nice things..everyone needs something to look forword to..gets you thrue a hard's work or school...
And yeah..I work in a hospital I get confronted with death and sickess everyday all day..so definitly try and enjoy each day.
Many people dont live to be 23..or 38.
I think it's clear the moral of the story is offcourse, see as many rockshows as possible!!! Cheers for the Karma!!!!
What other concert are you going to btw?

Ha do you know what, I'm 25 & I try to take every opportunity I can. I don't want to look back & regret anything. I've realised that I need to get out there & live a bit. Some of my friends have settled down, I see their life & I think, before I have that routine (if ever), I want to have lived my life & done things for me. So I work hard at my job, & spend all my money haha!

The other concert I'm going to is SON VOLT. I've followed Jay Farrar for years, and he's a huge talent that not many people know about.
Prickley, I know what you mean by working hard and spending it all. I do the same. When my time comes, I hope to die broke holding the hand of a good woman. Can't take it with you, as they say.
Now I just have to find a good woman.....
