hey im not sure if is been said before but id luv to kno who smites u if u get smited. its not like ill smite them back or anythin, thats not cool, but id just like to kno why they did it in the first place. i kno lots of other ppl want too. thanks mods, gr8 job everyone! xx

I think putting up some sticking in the 'site stuff' forum could be helpful, especially for those who are new. For example, One could be explaining sigs. What's the max size, the limit of gifs, ect. And direct the reader to a website that can re-size pictures (www.shrinkpictures.com) so they don't have an excuse for large pictures! A "Welcome to the Forum" sticky would be nice too. simply describe what every board is about, what kind of things go in there. Tell them that picture posting is frowned upon and what exactly "Karma" "exhalt" and "smite" are, and how it works. Because I know when I first came I thought that when you gave Karma, you would lose one of yours.  And encourage to use the search button so that multiple threads aren't made? Could an automatic message be sent out everytime somone knew joins? You can point them in the direction of the stickies! Because while newbies eventually figure it out themselves (I still am learning thing I first didn't know about) I think it would be alot more easier for both the new and old for the new ones to see it right when they join. Deleting all the comments not picture related is a good idea, but people will still have to look through hundreds of photos to find the right one. I like Marcellas idea of locking the thread and starting a new one, but the same problem emerges as above. Why don't we gather all out pictures together put them on an online album according to band member, tag them with things like "Matt Smiling" "young caleb", Start a new "_____ Photo Thread" with a link to the album with all the old pictures of the band member, and the new thread can be for new pictures only. You can make it so everyone can edit the photos too, so people can go and update the album with the new pictures when they have a minute. (Sorry, this post is kind of long.) |

^ The 'information for newbies' is a good idea, I know when I first joined I was confused by really little things. It took me MONTHS to work out why I was Cold as a Grave... I thought it was a choice, what you could have, and I was so puzzled as to how to change it to something less morbid! Then I figured it out and felt like a bit of a dummy....  |

It would be great to have photos sorted by band member and then general band photos, and have them grouped by "era". And with no comments allowed. So people can simply go and look at photos and not leaf through hundreds of pages of comments.
