Yikes an essay. Ok so firstly, this thread was not intended to be a flame towards the designing of the website. I've said this so many times now it's not even funny. The section of the forum we are currently talking in is titled 'site stuff' - so why can't I talk about the site? Go figure. It was a straight forward question, they may not know how to stop it from tiling or it might be a bug in various browsers. Then a bunch of you come on and start hating on me for asking about it? Dude I am not the one who needs to grow up here. Secondly, the fact you think I need to come onto a random website's forum to boost my ego about the web design I currently work on, is just a half-ass attempt at you trying to psycho-analyse my motives for being here. Needless to say you are completely incorrect. I'm pretty sure that my boss and the companies I work for give me all the positive reinforcement I require from my layouts and applets. Thirdly, I have not "yelled" about my abilities at all. But when you come on here thinking I'm some lame teenager trying to front on you all; I find it is a substantial requisite for me to back myself up and make a point that you all need to stop judging so easily. I am not bigheaded, quite far from it I'd say; and I'm almost certain people close to me would say the same too. Finally, my user name was simply out of un-creativity. I didn't know what to put so I titled it as so. Got a problem with it? Then don't read it. As for the stereotype, far out dude  |

Ok, perhaps you didnt intend to insult the existing design - thats possible. But there's no convincing me that you're weren't just after an opportunity to flex your computer muscles. So many of your posts are needless excessive references to your broad knowledge, its obviously a bit of an obsession thats caused a trend in your thinking. And no, I dont expect your to be aware of it - if you know the meaning of the word unconscious, you'll also know that these things are invisible to person in question while being plainly obvious to everyone else. You really should tone it down a bit, if you were slightly less obnoxious people might be a little more interested in what you have to say. Incidentally, I'm not really in the habit at having a go at people for random things. Its just I see how many enemies you're making on the board and I dont really like to see friends of mine insulted so unnecessarily. |

Well someones gotta bring you down a peg. I dont really regard this as a battle of wits particularly, largely since you do seem to feel that logical argument is based upon lame putdowns and repetitive denial. Of course you don't need to back up anything you say. You can make any point at all, base it on absolutely nothing, and then feel smart about it. Thats up to you - but if you have something better do, i suggest you get on with it and just ignore the likes of me. Personally I do have plenty better to do, but i can organise my own time at work, it only takes me a couple of minutes,and its kinda fun. |
