Bands should be releasing albums every year in my opinion. I want more music, not less. If you look back to the 60s and 70s bands put out albums annually - hell, the Doors made 6 albums in 4 years. The Beatles made over 10 albums in only 7 years. And their quality is still really high.

Only band i can think of on the top of my head which are modern is LIARS, and those guys have made awesome albums.

Not like 3 years touring with the same album but 2 is ok (and no more) since the band is touring and doing a great job with the album cause I don't think albuns are made just to people listen to, they're made to be present by the band. In my opinion they should work more with their b-sides and tour around here

John Frusciante has released plenty of stuff in a short space of time too, as has Ryan Adams. And the Mars Volta as well in fact - 3 albums plus a live album and an EP, with a new one in the works - all in about 6 years.
Really, I'd prefer the quality to be high, not the quantity, but quantity is still important.
