The California Waiting B-Side is far superior to the version on Youth and Young Manhood. In a way, I agree with you, but the Youth version is still better than any song produced by about 90% of the bands out there.

The only song I never really appreciated was Trani. Then when I caught their concert for a second time, they finished their set with the aforementioned track. The way they played it was so vibrant and in-your-face.
Now, I honestly can play all three of their cd's without skipping a track. Maybe except On Call.

I agree with that about Calfornia Waiting, don't get me wrong I love the YAYM version but there's something really magical about the original .. Same with Wasted Time, the original stronger bass makes me want to dance  |

Velvet snow is a track I'm not keen on - the only track from the 1st two albums I dont like.
Because of the times, My party, knocked up & Camaro are average - the rest of them are poor in my opinion.

Man have you just opened a big can of worms. I guess I'll play along though. I think KOL's weakest songs are the following: Pistol of Fire Milk Soft Razz McFearless and My Party You'll probably see people post after me stating that some of those are their favorites. To each his own. As far as Trani, that's my favorite song by KOL so far. dude, you dont like milk or my partyy?? i love those two. and trani is THE best!! i love it too. one of my faveess |

perhaps my least fave kol song would be camaro. on youth && youngmanhood, i skipped the last few songs. i gotta listen to all of the album one day so i can say which is my least fave on that. i'm also not that fond on mcfearless either. i actually like california waiting. and i think i like all of the songs on aha shake heartbreak.  |

I actually burned a CD of the least played KOL songs in my house. I've since changed my opinion about a couple of them. I still really can't stand My Party. I don't like the effect to the lyrics, and I think the lyrics themselves are kinda generic. I tried, but that is the one song that I wish they'd have never done. I just don't like it. Keep in mind, I'm not saying it's a bad song, I'm just giving my "personal opinion". To me, it don't sound good. |

I have never really liked Trani that much.
But I recently went to a Kings of Leon show, and wow Trani sounds a lot better live.
