So this what happens with me. I tell myself that Trani is my favorite song (and indeed I do love it) however, when ever it plays in my CD player I don't crank it EVERY time. I just realized the other day that I ALWAYS crank King of The Rodeo when ever it's on. I can't help it So as of about three days ago I finally am free of the denial... I LOVE KING OF THE RODEO!.................... I'm sorry what does my post have to do with the KOL songs I'm not real fond of?..........

the amount of McFearless hate/dislike/indifference is criminal It's easily the best song off of BOTT and Nathan's drumming hasn't been more inspiring. Some people were complaining about it being 'heavy,' I think they could do more of that actually. My Party is probably the one I care least for, the Rachel Bilson story hasn't helped me warm up to it cause lets just say I'm not a fan of her

I really don't like 'soft'. No matter how many times I listen to it - I can't seem to warm to it at all.

I hate reading this thread, which is why I haven't for ages! Now I'm regretting it! I always disagree with everyone and could spend all day defending various songs! From this page - I LOVE king of the rodeo, soft is brilliant, mcfearless and my party are great etc! I think one song that I can't love is Dusty. I like it but don't love it

I really don't like 'soft'. No matter how many times I listen to it - I can't seem to warm to it at all. "I danced around your folk and soul, i danced to all your f**king soul. I left you with your nose a bleedin and your toes creepin around." Love the rhythm to that song and the lyrics, actually i love it full stop!

I don't like the bucket, I know it's weared. But it's to poppy.. So is soft.. I mean, what happened to the real rock and roll songs like trani? I think the kings have changed, they used to be different, with their clothes and stuff... Now they almost became indie rockers.. No offends to indie rockers of course.. :-)

So, there's not a Kings song I actively dislike, but there are some I like more than others.
Anyway, I used to find Arizona pretty....but still kinda boring. Until last night when I listened to it for two hours straight(I checked). Something about it finally clicked and now I'm pretty sure it's greatest song ever recorded......by humans.

Don't like mcfearless, and i don't really listen to genius, but i like it still.
What worries me is that in an interview i read caleb says that the style that mcfearless is is how the next album could turn out. :S

I like McFearless in a way that it reminds me of Are You In? by Incubus. I like to think that those songs are perfection of all of the instruments played... the guitar in McFearless is perfect and as is Are You In. The bass line of Are You In.. ahhh and the drums are perfect. And even the DJing in Are You In..... Even the vocals of both of these songs are the epitome of anything man could create musically and artistically. I love them both for this reason.

I just went and listened to both of those songs ^^ back to back, suneyedgirl. I have to agree with you, I love them both. I don't see them as similar but man, they're both such good songs!
The only way Are You In is similar to McFearless for me is that both represent awesome periods of my life. Five years apart of course!

I agree there are some songs i like less than others but not one that i really don't like. And Arizona is amazing. The music is just so beautiful. I just close my eyes and drift away when i listen to it. Class song.

i don't really HATE any kol songs, but whenever i listen to BOTT i often skip The Runner and Black Thumbnail. I used to love four kicks, but i think i've listened to it so many times to where i'm sick of it! never really a huge fan of Day old blues either.

I love basically every kol song, the only one i just cannot get into is 'trunk'. I have listened to it over and over in the hope of it growing on me but no, i just cant get into it.
