Hello just new to here, just recently say KOL for the second time in Newcastle and after reading the covers thread alot you though they should cover a Dylan song. The Fist time i saw KOL they had "Oh Mercy" playing as the gear go set up, a very underated Dylan album. here are my top 3 that i'd like to here KOL cover.
1: Senor: from Street Legal. perfect for those boys
2: One more cup of coffee: Desire. The song scruture would fit Calebs voice amazingly well.
3:Idiot Wind: Blood on the Tracks. Need i say more?
Any one agree or disagree? and if you havent heard those songs you really need too!

I don't think it'd be wise to cover Dylan. Only Jimi Hendrix has ever done a good job on his tracks (obviously All Along the Watchtower, but he did a great version of Please Crawl Out Your Window).
Guns 'n' Roses failed, as did Brian Ferry, and I'm sure a whole lot of others too. Best avoided in my opinion.
BUT, having said that, to answer the question.
I think 'Subterranean Homesick Blues' or 'I Want You' would be a good choice. Both short and up-tempo, and fun.
Thing is, also, there are so many Dylan songs, half the ones people name most us won't know anyway...

I agree, I think they'd do a good job with A Hard Rain's A Gonna Fall. Uncle Tupelo used to do it in concert. That actually may be how I came across the song in the first place.

Totally agree. I remember nominating Bad Moon Rising before, but Commotion would be even better.

I agree One More Cup of Coffee would be great! And as I said before, I'd like them to cover Highway 61 Revisited or Maggie's Farm, or On the Road Again from the same album, that would be amazing! And although Nashville Skyline vocals don't seem to fit Caleb that much, I think a Country Pie cover would be interesting... with their own style, I think it could sound pretty cool....

I dont know, I reckon The White STripes have claimed Cup Of Coffee, though it would suit them. I reckon they'd be best suited to: A filthy version of Highway 61 Rockin version of Maggie's Farm Or a soaring, sparse rendition of the beautiful Forever Young. Though it'd be fun to hear Rainy Day Women
