Just heard Knocked Up on a BBC advert for that big footbal event thing that's coming up.
I nearly spat Fanta Lemon all over my keyboard.

i remember when they played juicebox from the strokes for the NBA playoffs here in the states. i actually said "WHAT THE FUCK". my dad was there and was all..."what's your problem. why are you cursing? have you no manners?!"
and then after i calmly explained that they never play the strokes on the radio or music channels and now they're playing them on an NBA ad. you know, the craziness of it all.
he threw a pillow at me and told me to go wash my mouth.
some people just don't get it. but wait, aren't the kings big there? why would them being played on tv be such a "spit out my fanta" kind of deal?

Hah yeah exactly.. I was just sitting here minding my own business and then I heard the beginning and I thought.. hmm I'm sure I don't even have Windows Media Player open.. so I checked to see if it was playing on someones MySpazz and it wasn't and then I looked up and it was on the telly.. I was like O.O
They're quite big but not that big I don't think, none of my friends had heard of them until I forced them to listen .. not like proper mainstream advertty stuff.

I think that the point has been slightly missed - BBC Sport, Football likely the Man U game tonight?? Havin a baby, runnin off in a Coupe de Ville - where the hell is the connection???  not that i don't appreciate all applications of KOL tunes. |

Sure 'Slow Night, So Long' is being used on the add for the Gaelic Football season this year on RTE! Their music seems to be popping up everywhere on adds and stuff!  |

yea they plays Joe's Head on a few things....an antiques programme too I have noticed....

spiral staircase has been used on shows a few times too. usually on makeover shows, or something where they doa montage of shots to show passing of time on somehting. it's really cool, because theres still a lot of people who dont know who they are, and then love the advert music, then are really surprised to find out who it is.

kings were on jamie oliver quite a bit last time, i think it was school dinners but cant remember. and they played taper jean girl in the f word this week lol. kings and food must go well together!
