Cross my t's, Try to dot my i's, But that's just blindin' me And I ain't livin that way I roll my sleeves and make a better man of me Hey, you know it ain’t coincidental that you’re lost in place It’s drippin’ off your face, and you’re losin’ your precious mind Miles away, so unclear, almost lost it in Montana Lets pull over, have us a choke I love to watch you when you're dancin'. I wonder if they ever dreamed, they would get just what we gave them All wrapped up in bein 19, chasin' stars that are fallin' I find it really hard to isolate one line or verse that I like in a KOL song, because to me the whole is greater than the sum of its parts….or something like that. Each lyric, whether it’s spectacular or average, is integral in developing the mood of the song. Whereas, I can pick one line from a Counting Crows song (for example) that’s great, while the other lines in the song are kind of average, and don’t really do anything for the song. I’m not explaining this well…it makes sense in my head, I swear .

Two songs stick out in my head:
Behind the fringe of a whiskey high mutilating cat like eyes and in your nose blood decadence you try to drag me into your bohemian dancing...
'Cause rememo except for home it's personal but they need to know I'm overdue another round to gain control and take me down you're all tied up as you should be and I'll be cuttin out naturally.....
Soft and Rememo.

Don't take these boots off me, when you think that I'm dead. I'll still be running from the demon in my head. Bloody fantastic lyric.

'This party is overrated, but there ain't shit else to do.' (Four Kicks)
I think many people can relate to that, that's why I love it.
and: 'You know you could've been a wonder' 'I said nah nah hey hey' (Red Morning Light)
'We drank wine in the matinee and the spotlight showed what it chased away' (Milk)
Wel, let's just say Caleb is a fabulous writer, I love all the lyrics, even the really gross ones.

I got the lyric that trumps everything... "She's frenching out the flavor, she 17, but I dun went and plum forgot it."
Enough Said...

While it's one of my favorite songs, the lyrics in Holy Roller Novocaine kind of disturb me.
I try to pretend he's not singing about what I think he's really singing about......ya know what I mean?
