Yes, believe it or not. Though I-Tunes are high on the road to domination. i find it terrible that more people are downlaoding even legally off itunes. I hope CD's never stop being made that would be terrible, a list of osngs iso less meaningful than a whole CD.

Of course. But sadly technology and convenience are what over-rules any sentimental values. I'm sure before people were sad to see LPs go and be replaced by tapes (urgh) and then CDs. Now it's the turn of a "list of songs".

I never play a CD ever - if I buy one I rip it to the computer and it gets played as an Mp3 for ever after. The CD sits on the bookshelf looking pretty.

i find that to be the case too, twelvevolts, but i still buy CDs like a mad woman. I love ebing abel to look back through the booklets, read the notes/lyrics etc (as has been previously said), and i'll occasionally pull them out at random to fllick through - even when i'm not listeneing ot the album, haha. CDs/records/tapes all rule - music is fantastic and having these things gives you a way of physically being near the music.
Note: this is not to say that i don't download ever. I do. But i ALWAYS buy albums that i want!!
And no, i haven't downloaded BOTT, and i am really looking forward to hearing it - i'm listening to YAYM and ASH constantly atm to get myself in the KOL zone...

Its all thanks to iPods/MP3s. Everything ends up on the computer these days.

not with me.. I even play LP's a lot. but then again, I pretty much prefer anything that's analogue over digital.

i waited and hearing the odd bootleg and live recording before the release made it much more exciting than just downloading it in one go. i bought the CD today but was hoping for vinyl (it's apparently not scheduled for release on vinyl yet). i hope they press nice vinyl like ASH
