Okay, so I was listening to Kings of Leon (Live in Paradiso) on my way into work this morning. While listening to it I began to think of all the little things they add on during their shows that I love. Not to mention every time I listen to their normal CD I find myself doing the add on's. So, here is my list of the little stuff I like:
Nathan- I [glow=red,2,300]LOVE[/glow] how he plays the drums louder when Caleb sings "Three in the morning come a BANG, BANG, BANG". I also love it when he plays the bass drum louder in Milk when Caleb sings "Kill Me, Kill Me". Oh and lets not forget watching him blow bubbles while he plays.
Jared- I LOVE watching him make little faces when he plays haha cracks me up every time! Oh and when he bends backwards while he plays...now that talent!
Matt- I love watching how passionate he looks when he plays. Plus I love watching his face when he gets into playing one of his solo's.
Caleb- I love when Caleb opens the show with CHEYYYEECKKKKK, CHEYYEECKK 1, CHEYYEECKK 1 2 3. I also love it when he adds onto Pistol of Fire at the very beginning (if anyone has that, would you PLEASE send it to me). Love it when he add’s the woooahhhoo’s in Taper Jean Girl while counting at the beginning. Love watching him dance during that song as well. Last, but the best is watching him play during Trani! I [glow=red,2,300]LOVE[/glow] it when Matt is playing his guitar and Caleb is too and ends up on his knees towards the end of the song! Only to get up and at the very end throw the mic stand down before they walk off stage! I love that part!
Okay so I’ll stop now haha What are some of y’alls favorite things?

Hmm....good thread. You basically sumed up a lot of what my favorite things to see and hear are. Here are some more.
Caleb - I love how in King of the Rodeo how Caleb does this yowel at the end in the Washington performance. Really great stuff. He has an very distinctive growl. Plus it's great when he is performing how he dances and does this pigeon toe thing.

Jared - I love the way he is just so candid in interviews, and how hyperactive he is. He's very eccentric (that's a good thing)
jared: the other day I was trying to be positive and think of good things about England, because it was really rainy and s***. So I walked around the room, looked in the mirror and said: "The pop here stays very fizzy."

Nathan - Same about the way he is in interviews. I love his quick, humourous wit.
Nathan - "We couldn't actually just come out and say we had sex with Kate Moss," Nathan said of their rumored exploits with supermodel groupies. "We have to make it subliminal. It's amazing how much you remember after you sober up."

Matthew - Love how he pays the guitar. No doubt about that. Great licks. But I also like how in interviews (rare I know) how he's like the brother that's always picked on. Aw...
Matthew - Do you think a lot of people hear the words ‘gospel’ or ‘religion’ and turn off, to a certain extent?
“[Weary] Oh yeah. We’re not anything like Creed or anything like that… Hold on a sec, we’re getting out of the car and they’re all talking… They’re talking at me while I’m doing the interview!”
Nathan: “If you don’t make us look cool I’m-a kick you in the ball-bag.”
“[To Nathan] Shut up! [To me] Alright… go ahead!”
So were you guys surprised when you were picked up by the press as ‘leaders of the New Rock Revolution’?
“Hold on, they are raggin’ me so bad…They won’t let me talk! Alright, I’m gonna run upstairs so fast, so they don’t get me… [footsteps on stairs, door slamming…] Okay, you can go ahead now. Again.”
…A lot of emphasis is put on how you guys look and your style, how important is that to you?
“We don’t try to dress any way, it’s just that we don’t cut our hair, and we just buy clothes that are too small for us. We don’t have an image-consultant or anything like that. [Away from the receiver] Hey! You left the lights on inside the car! [Returns] Sorry, I had to tell him.”

i too love the little tidbit caleb added between the transition of "pistol of fire" and "wasted time". i also like how instead of saying "you don't mean nothin' to me" he says "you don't mean SHIT to me" in happy alone and the part he adds a couple of lines later. i like when he points to each of them each time he says "time on me is wasted time."
Oh michelle, it's michelle right, i always find myself doing the little foot shuffle caleb does when he sings "four kicks, who's struttin' now"
I could seriously go on and on about all the things i love when i see them live. you nailed a few of them too.

Yay! hehe I think the "Caleb" dance is going to be the newest dance move  Yeah, it's Michelle you got it. :-D Ohh I know I love how on Happy Alone he sings "Your' gonna find our song, but it won't take long living in the city with some other cunt" --> I think however I still don't know for sure haha

I love it when jared sings his bass parts like when he pushes his lips out, ya know? I'm not sure I can describe it but I'm sure people know. Heres a picture that I think sorta catches him doing it:  And I also love when Matt and Caleb get really into it and it sorta seems like theyre playing to eachother, like they stand close and face eachother and just rip it apart. |
