Question: Is is a Cherokee tradition to call you by you middle name? I know the Kings said that is was a family tradition being called by their middle name, but I found it fasinating as a tradition. I know that Tori Amos is part Cherokee (her grandfather on her mothers side was a pure blooded Cherokee man), and for the longest time she was called Ellen (her middle name, Myra being her first) until she insisted on being called Tori (Her parents still call her Tori Ellen). And her brother was called Michael even though that was his middle name.
Does anyone else have this middle name tradition?
