how cool is that. they were on loveline the othernight and some fan called in and asked what music they were listening to and they said "you need to get the new kings of leon CD" then she asked if she could get into their show at the wiltern (sp?) and they said that she had to bring the kings of leon CD to get in. I thought that was pretty cool.  |

Oh no! This means a bunch of young girls will get into the kings based soley on their looks. That is what happened her with the Killers. I have liked the killers since January of 2003 when no one here liked them and now it is just a affluent of dumb people who merely like their appearance.
Seriously, the Killers are the new boy band.
Okay, I will look on the brightside now... They do make catchy songs. AT least maybe we will get some record sales out of this...
I am just rammblin'.

I think The OC mixtapes also have a lot do with it.
they are evil. because they have some good music on them...which means that a lot of abercrombie and fitch wearin' posers get into alternative. and seriously, those two should be like oil and water. hollister + the killers/ the futureheads/ any band on The OC mixtapes = a downward spiral into oblivion.

I read somewhere that Misha Barton would most like to see them play in the Peach Pit... Wait.. what is the name of that club. Peach Pit is the name to the club on 90210.
Funny (true) story about the Killers on the OC:
When they first recorded their appearance on the OC I knew about it because I was on their message boards and was like told this by someone or something...
But anyways:
I won this contest into a studio session for a radio station. Basically, they play 5 songs for a small crowd of 100 or less people.
When we were standing in line to be let in they passed out these questions to the fans and said a couple would get selected and would be asked to the band. I knew about this ahead of time so I had a question prepared. My question was : So, I hear you guys just recorded performance footage for the OC. How was it and what made you want to do it?
I was being really cocky and telling my friend and sister that I my question would be selected. I honestly did know my question was going to get selected.
So, they played 5 songs and then... My question was the first one asked. He had me stand up and introduce myself. Of course the DJ guy read the question wrong and said "soundtrack" instead of show. He was all stuttering because I am guessing he didn't read the question before... I was screaming "No, show, not soundtrack.." Although, not that loudly.
Brandon answered something along the lines of "We just want people to hear our music ... blah, blah, blah... It was okay (or good or something mondane)".
Then Brandon just smiled at me and I lipped (is that the word) "Thank you." and sat down.
I could kinda tell they were mad I called them out about being on the OC before anyone knew about it though.

Yeah I agree, my friends and I were fans back before they had the huge fan girl thing going on. That is very true they are the new boy band, that is exactly what I was thinking when I saw them. I love the music still though so I'll put up with the crazy fan girls. And yeah Golden, that is so true about the OC mixtapes thing. I hate how all these good bands like Louis XIV and the Killers etc were on the OC, and now all these kids talk about them at school now that they've seen them on their favorite tv show. It really irks me. |

I can't go to shows of theres anymore. It is too lame now. I have seen them 6 times so I should be content until the next record... IF it is any good.

Bo is mine, just because he can rock it out and has a great voice and great stage presence...but he hasn't been doing so good the last two weeks or so, I hope tonight he does amazing. Constintine is slowly coming close to my fave too. Sorry for going off topic for a moment. |

Constintine is slowly coming close to my fave too. Sorry for going off topic for a moment. I think my two favorite are Constintine and bo, I'm hopeing constintine wins. I really liked his last proformance. I though bo did a great job last week the music behind him is what made the song sound bad. You couldn't hardly hear the guitar on his song. I couldn't believe that he was in the bottom 3 though I was sure that it was gonna be scott, nadia, and anwair (sp?). My whole family yelled at the shocking new that the bottom two were nodia and Bo, we don't really care for scott. But Constintine ALL THE WAY.  Wow everyones gonna hate me after reading that, lol |

NoI have been to 6 Kings shows.
I have seen Louis XIV twice.
Once for free because I told them to put me on their guestlist and I would buy $40 worth of merch. They were opening for the Killers and it was totally sold out.

and about american idol, bo and constantine are my favorites too. although, I tend to like bo better. bo was awesome last night! the reason he's had that bad streak is because he hasn't been choosing the right songs. but last night he did! I love constantine too (bohemian rhapsody, much?), but he can be kind of cheesy sometimes-- bo seems more like the rock star type, whereas constantine is more like a poser.
then again, I read that bo's favorite band is matchbox twenty. gross.
honestly, I don't think we can count on american idol to satisfy our taste for rock n roll-- that's what bands like kol are for!
