haha! on the tv footage he was pulling his pants up all the time bless him. welcome to the forum btw, i hope we didnt scare you too much x I have rewinded that part about 100000 times, he actually looks over his shoulder and notices that his crack his showing, then pulls them up  Did anyone see the interview backstage with Nathan and Jared? Jared just gushed about how Liv Tyler was his best friend and how she sends him presents all the time!! - I've come to the conclusion maybe Jared shouldn't speak - especially after that whole english girls thing. |

AAAHHHHHH!!!!!! I'M BACK! sorry but i havent read all of this, just way way too excited! the pictures are great! i'm gonna watch the video soon, cant wait! just had to check my emails (willy mason emailed me back  ) but errr kings were amazing! we were right at the front (on the barrier) in the middle! well my friend who is a bit shorter than me was on the front middle on the barrier and i was just behind her so i could see PERFECTLY! i love the new songs, and it was so cool knowing them, but i didnt know taper jean girl and milk and they were really great. especially milk. but razz live is absolutely amazing, i lovvvved it! and it was just great from that bass bit and i screamed my fucking head off! i have never 'wooed' so loud in my life! and i know they heard me (slightly embarassing lol) as i always did it just when a song was starting as i already knew what it was (say with a new one) or just at the end, aah! and my friend said that jared was definitely looking at us like cuz we knew those new songs and i noticed once he was looking over (its weird when band members do that but also SO cool lol) but i get mesmerised by caleb live lol. but his voice was perfection, everything was brilliant! all the live thigns (like you aint shit to me) were just superb, and everything, it was perfect. i was just SO happy, trani was so brilliant, the best i've heard it live, jared did a scream during it which i could hear (without mic hehe) and it was brilliant. everything was amazing. everything. everything. everything! |

Aaaaaaaaaw selly!! That all sounds uber cool. Wow u could hear Jared's scream without a mic? Thats good considering how far away the barrier was from the stage. How coooooool!! I so can not wait for V now. I hope I get close to the front.

and blackdress, you dont just get to be at the front lol, my friend got up at 7 to queue and we joined her at 10.30 lol, but it was sooo worth it. what time did u join the queue? it was a long run from the entrance to the front of the main stage lol, i had a stitch by the time i got there!

And then I ran like a loon to get to the front - you're right, its further than it looks. I bet we ran like loons together  In wellies. I can't believe you could hear Eviljared talking - you must have the ears of a cunning predatory animal (I'm meaning this is a nice way). BINGO IN A QUEUE!!! yeh it was crap, i never won but the guys next to me won and he said i could have the card but i didnt want to go up and get the flip flops! ahh i bet i saw you, i didnt wear wellies though! jared isnt evil anyway lol and i didnt have to prick my ears i could just hear him! did you notice the scream during trani!??! aah, it was superb wasnt it! what was your favourite song?! i think mine has to be razz, but then also trani was the best i've ever seen it, but then like hrn and aaah i dunno, 4 kicks rocked, i loved king of the rodeo, but then i also loved milik and taper jean girl and god the list goes on, but aaahhh!! i'm watching it on tv now, i wish they had shown razz, so maybe razz was my favourite! i'm rambling now so ill just press send!

We got in when Scissor Sisters were playing. We pushed in about half way there then a bit more for Franz. Everyone disappeared when the Thrills were playing so we got in then and then at the end we beat a few people out the way to watch Polly. She was my reason for going to the front, my goddess was calling me. |

ah right, i dont like pj harvey so i just stood through that and waited for kings, but i love the thrills so was cool to be at the front foor that. also ff i like so that was cool, and scissor sisters i dont mind anymore! i was there for kings deffo!

Sel... I think I genuinely might have been talking to you and your friends for a while in the queue. I was definitely talking to someone blonde who had said she was the first one to start queing, and 2 or 3 friends who turned up way later... Im American, and was with a couple of english guys. Am I messing you up with the roughly 40,000 other people you could be? Haha i was on the barrier as well, from about 1pm right rough till the end. Got my pictures back today as well... slightly disappointing, as you really cant tell at all how cool that spot was to be at. And how good a view I had of Nacho the whole time. Sweet jesus that boy is a whole lot of pretty. Got a picture of him too... except his head was down. Bastard. Lots of shiny hair though. Anyway, I concur with everything that was said. They sounded amazing, loved the new songs, they looked great, Nathan's hair was lovely... only thing is though, I think Nacho was the prettiest  . AND I AM SO JEALOUS OF EVERYONE HERE WHO HAS A VIDEO OF IT! I want to see that footage so damned bad.... and im also gutted that i missed California Waiting on the radio. Shit. |

well, after we got inside... i decided not to do the mad dash to the main stage, so went and bought a shirt and some food... didn't make my way over to the main stage until the end of GLC... somehow ended up with a chick who was good at pushing through. we were second row for a while, and after Scissor Sisters the two girls directly in front of us on the barrier fucked off, so we were able to sneak in there.
i did not move for the longest time... lol. the strokes were amazing though, i absolutely loved them. By that point though, if im honest, i was desperate to get out of there. It got so manic towards the end with everyone rushing the front that I just felt like i was being killed. But i wasnt leaving till they were good and finished. Nice scottish boy next to me looking after me as well, so it was cool...
It was just the most incredible day ever. I loved the thrills, the kings (obviously), pixies (though i didn't know much of the material), franz ferdinand, and obviously the strokes... how cool to be right at the front for all of that!
i'll try and post my pictures if im ever around a scanner in the near future... there are some reasonable ones really lol especially of the kings! yeehaw!!!
what did you do with your day? did you hang out on the barrier till the end or did you leave after the kings?

yeah we stayed at the barrier for the whole day, i was so hungry by the end! but we couldnt leave at all even if we had wanted to because we were right in the middle as well. and i know what you mean about feeling like you were being killed, it was so squashed so yeah it was quite good when the strokes finally went! i was a bit disappointed in them really, i expected them to be better than they were. what did you think to them?
and if you have sky, they are showing t in the park stuff every friday night on bbc2 scotland so you could tape that.
and i'd love to see your pics! i took quite a few but when the pixies came on my camera came out of my pocket and i found it at the end but it was trashed so nevermind! (was only a disposable one)

The Strokes... I really loved them... I was in such an odd position by that point though, and so hurt and tired... that I wasn't really paying much attention. After listening to some of their performances on the radio a couple of days later though, I just though... Shit, they weren't nearly as tight as they sounded to me. Julian needs to stop coming on stage wasted. Still havent been around a scanner at all... but I'll try to sort something out with them soon, or just buy a scanner at some point lol. I wish I'd gotten a better picture of nacho *sigh* thanks for letting me know about the Sky.. don't have it, unfortunately, but I'll see if I can get a friend to tape anything they see of it |

yeah it's a bit stupid, i have some of their thingy on tape but i havent had time to watch it yet, i think i will today, ill let you know what i think. by the time they came on i just couldnt be arsed to keep my position so i was like three people back, but i didnt really concentrate like i could have. new york city cops, when they started that i screamed because i really love that song but it wasnt as good as i thought, and i've enjoyed it more listening at home!

There wasn't a song I didn't enjoy... but I can never remember what they're actually called because I never look at the CD cover when listening.. lol but I loved when they played track 1 off of Room on Fire... it just made me feel very very happy.
I was also extremeeeeeeeely happy after Julian mentioned something about all of the flags... I whipped out my american flag and was waving it around over the barrier... at one point when Julian was sitting next to their roadie, directly in front of me, he nudged him and gestured to the flag. its sad, but it made me smile a lot :-D lol
