well finally, here is the interview with Nathan the guitarist that was in kerrang from like so many months ago that i have been promising to post up. due to technical difficulties i have to write out what's been said i.e photobucket is a bitch!
mann just looked and it's about their winter dance tour!! The Tennessee mop-tops are getting ready to make music 'round these parts again, but try to ignore any donkey-like sounds coming from backstage. Guitarist Nathan Followill explains...
K: Looking forward to London?
N: Oh yeah. We've been touring for the last two months and getting lots of practice, so if you've seen us before then get ready for a great show. And if you havn't, then get ready for four guys playing with each other, with a whole lot of energy and not giving a shit.
K: You mention playing with each other..
N: Not in that way! That's for after the show.
K: What do you do before a show?
N: We have us a little chant that we all do together. It's some weird thing that our uncles used to do to scare the shit out of us. It gets us pumped and loosened up before we get onstage. It sounds something like "eeoh eeoh"...
K: What should fans remember to bring to the show?
N: Dancing shoes. We want 'em to boogie exactly the way the music makes them feel, even if that means banging into the person next to you or grabbing a pretty girl and slow dancing. That's the only way we know our music's getting through.
K: Any hair grooming tips you'd like to share?
N: Don't cut it, and when you do, do it yourself. I do, and before that my Mom did. No specific style either, just whatever the hell she was feeling at the time.
K: Was she ever feeling angry?
N: No, but i'm sure my first two or three haircuts looked like she was! She's fucked me up pretty bad. My dad would just sit there and laugh and say shit about all the holes in our hair. I just leave it alone these days.
