Just thought y'all'd enjoy the pics of the Kings with the Jet boys on the www.jettheband.com site. The Jet boys apparently took about 400 pics, so I'm gonna harass for any more that are not on the site! They're also playing a few shows with The Strokes out in Oz around the BDO gigs, so anyone who wants to go...hurry! Tix are selling really fast. |

Yes, indeedy, I am from the land down under  and I can't wait until the Kings rock it live down here. It's been sooooo long since I was so excited about a new band. I hope they come back and do some headline tours again. Club venue's would be ace! |

hahah... I AM excited, but peeing isn't exactly the bodily function dangerously close to occuring to me I confess, I heard of them a year ago, but then never followed it up. Then my sister sent me a copy of the cd and harassed me about listening to them. That irked me, but eventually I gave in. I was then hooked, line and sinker, then nearly died of excitement when I found out my friends were touring with them! Since then I've been getting some funny stories. One of Jared saying goodbye to Cam and Mark in the nude, as he emerged from the toilet on the bus. Hahah, oh to have born witness to that! |

I had to purch tickets for The Strokes too, but how to pass up the Kings? How old are you? I might be the oldest one on hear, nudging 28 in March. haha

i am nearly 23. just give me a few weeks. age is just a state of mind..don't worry. i feel three today!!  o did u get good seats for the gig? i'm stuck in the corner way way up the back... sniff ah but that just means that i'll have to scream a lil bit louder. haha i really really hopedt hat they would do a small gig somewhere but i'm happy just the same.. wanna know a secret..shhh don't tell but i'm only going to the strokes for the leons..sad no? i'm going to the bdo too. but for many mnay many more bands.. |

True true about the age thing. I still get asked for id at times. It happened on Friday night at the Espy, so it's all good. I just can't believe the Kings are so young. They don't seem it, but then most of my friends nearer to my age can't grow THAT kinda facial hair I'm only really going to the Strokes for the Kings too. I would have loved them to play the Corner or something, but it never seems to happen with international bands out here. It sucks. I'd rather they did a few smaller gigs than one big impersonal one. But then I'm not the promoter. haha |

ya! i get asked for id all the time and no matter how many times i go to a place with the same guy checking i still get asked. yeah i thought that the kings were older. probably the face hair. yup that's it. mountain man style all the way! .. i was actually rooting for them to play the corner or the hi fi or something like that..but then i heard that the darkness have booked a posi at the corner. and well i knew that the strokes would go bigger. also had the feeling that the kings would support em. bah! i hope that the leons come back and do there own gigs. but who knows when or if... |

oO i have a quick question. what's your favourite venue in melbourne? i'm having an argument with some peoples and well it's getting a lil bit heated.. the fur is flying so to speak.. in the bag we have the corner, the espy, the laundry, tote, duke of windsor etc.. what say u?

Hmmm, I don't like the Espy. It's too big, badly set out and a nightmare to navigate and use the loo's. I haven't been to the Tote in years, so don't remember. The Duke is cool. I've seen Jet play there, never been to Laundry either, not that I recall. But then I haven't lived in Melbourne fully for a while, so maybe I have in the past and it's changed name.
I'd have to say The Corner (surprising myself here as I come to that conclusion), at the moment. HiFi is way too claustrophobic, too.
By the way... I don't believe it was Jared's bare arse they saw. And not sure if they were joking, but giggled how they noted that he wasn't terribly badly off in the frontal dept, either ; )
That's all I'm saying. I don't want to get in trouble...haha

Cam and Mark (from Jet) were telling me how one night they had been on the Kings bus, hanging out and wreaking havoc after a gig. As they were leaving the bus, they hear "hey guys" and turn around to see Jared standing there naked, having just come out of the bathroom. Of course, I had to ask "how was it? Did he have a big doodle?" to which they laughed, "actually, we did say on the way back to our bus 'man, that was pretty decent size!" Now no more gossip from me or they'll never tell me anymore stuff |
