I think I've realized it's serious when I saw this pic. I'm pretty shocked. Thank God, everyone's ok.
So sorry for these ones who were going for a show. *hugs*

Yeah they said that on BBC radio one to. They said one of the buses was on fire and then the other caught fire. And then that 6 members of the crew were being treated for smoke inhalation.
It must suck for everyone who was meant to be there, especially if they've travelled far but at least everyone is safe and no-one was badly injured.

I assume someone would have mentioned it, but none of their gear got burnt right? That would be tragic. So sorry to all those people who were hoping for a show

No, those double deckers are usually for people; lounge and seats below, bunks & another lounge or private bedroom at the top. Which also explains why crew members lost their passports and other personal belongings in the fire.

I didn't know how bad it was until I saw the picture! I'm glad everyone is okay. but I'm very sorry for all of you who were going to attend. first pigeons, now fires... I wonder what will be the next thing to cancel a show.

Going by the seven seals of the apocalypse, maybe a swarm of flesh-eating locusts or blood in their water supply?
I'm really glad that no-one was hurt, it's a shame about the bus and possibly personal items as well as those who were anticipating one grand end-of-year concert.

Do you guys have any idea when this posponed gig is ging to happen? I've spent an hour yesterday on a phone crying to my mum and if it happens before the 16th of January I will jump off the London Eye or Big Ben. I also hope for a shirtless show. Did those who were going went to the arena anyway? But if this has to end the tour of 2010 I'm afraid it is going to happen between Christmas and New Year. Is that possible? I dunno what to dooo.

No, it wont happen any time soon, as Nathan is having shoulder surgery now. I doubt that he can bang on drums in a giant venue in 2-3 weeks.
I'd imagine sometime next year. Whenever they re coming back to the UK next. Is it May or something?

We arrived at the O2 at about 10 am ... we were only a few fans waiting ... they said the whole place was evacuated due to a fire (we couldnt see any smoke then - it happened around 8 am we were told) ... at noonish they let us in ... when we were threw the gates you could CLEARLY smell the smoke ... was a bit scary actually.
We lined up at the gates then and waited there till - I would say - 3 pm. They started demontaging the barriers - nobody informed us what was going on. Which really sucked ... I mean we could think of it ourselves as they were demontaging the barriers but hey ... some words from someone official would have been cool. The whole time we were waiting our only news was Twitter and the internet. It said "assessing the water damage" and stuff most of the time. In the end I think it was just not enough time left to set up the stage ... they lost about 5 hours due to evacuation and the actual fire.
When it was clear that the show is cancelled we were all pretty pissed - we looked so forward to this final show of #KOLDecemberMadness. And we have been waiting for so long already. But after I saw the pictures of the tourbusses and the fire I am really happy noone got hurt.
I am just sad for those who travelled so far to see them. We had some friends from Holland who came just for the gig. I at least have the other december shows to look back to.
I also dont think the resheduled show will be anytime soon. Thing is for the Australian & South African shows as well as for the UK shows in May/June they will be travelling with a larger stage right? As its mostly open air? So I think it will be too expensive to ship all the smaller stuff over for just one show at the O2 ... so I personally think it probably will be late 2011 till the new O2 date.
But who knows! Hope I can make the new date!
