The open road the path of greatness is at your fingers - go be the one that keeps on fighting,go be the stranger - just put your foot in front the other,go out and use it - we are alone, together somehow we gotta face it - i say YEAH - now that we've reached the stars miles away - find out what you are face to face - the world goes on,the polar picture there always changing - go on get lost, jump in the water while they are raging - i said YEAH - now that we've reached the stars miles away - find out what you are face to face - those who carried us here we are - dont forget the love before your gone Actually i think its "once you've had enough carry on,not those who carried us here we are" but the mp3 iv got is that piss poor im surprised i can make any words out

I think the line in southbound is 'we're gonna spit on the rivals'

Could it be 'spit on the rifle'? I know it's a bit hick, but people do spit on rifles to make them open easier, and it sort of fits with the Southern theme. I think. I'm going to stop stereotyping now

The only words I could make out in Pick Up Truck are "emotional" and "pick up truck" (<- which first sounded like "biblical" to me). But I guess I'm not the only one who doesn't understand anything there at all. But I'm dying to know what it's about, too.

Hahahha, seriously guys! THIS IS GREAT! I'm gonna save these lyrics and then see how wrong we all are! In my ears everything you write is right, I'm like "Oh, yeah! That's totally it!", even though I don't listen to the songs! I just go with my instinct! (Don't get me wrong, I HAVE listened to the songs... A while ago! )

So according to NME, Radioactive is "it's in the water, it's in the STORY, it's where you came from". That's the one line that's been bugging me (OK that and the "ready to lay in a coffin" bit of Southbound..)

(95% of lyrics courtesy of Daniela from Austria)
Walk you home to see where you’re living around and I know this place.
Pour yourself on me and you’ll know I’m the one that you won’t forget.
In your den all night I see something arrive and I see you’re weak. When he comes around I see you’re fixin’ to shine and my face falls deep.
Everything’s so emotional, I didn’t think it would get physical, but when you pull in and rev it up, I see you call out a pickup truck, and in the moonlight burning down, all kickin’, screaming and rolling around, a lil piece of a 32, Just so you know I’ll be thinkin’ of you. Just so you know – awwooo.
Trembling misery and it's cold as a hole I hug your bones and skin. Cracklin’ wood gone white as my eyes roll up now I can see the light.
Just so you know – awwooo.
Just so you know I’ll be thinkin’ of you. Just so you know – awwooo. Just so you know – awwooo.
On a side note, I thought I'd give my interpretation of the song too. The intro sets the scene of a girlfriend/boyfriend scenario. The boyfriend walks her home to get a feel of the neighbourhood she lives in. He becomes very familiar with it over the course of this relationship. They are infatuated with each other it seems. The boyfriend feels like the special one that she will always love.
But, in the third verse, it seems that the pair are no longer an item. Instead, he is waiting outside her house. Stalking his ex-girlfriend effectively. The ex then witnesses her new flame arrive at her house. The girl is all dolled up to see him, she feels weak in the knees with her new love. The ex is heartbroken, his faces falls to the floor.
In the chorus, the ex recalls how his emotions are uncontrollable to a point that he beats her. The pick-up truck calling to her house is something he can't live with. The poignancy of the chorus comes from the "32" which is slang for a Colt 32 Pistol cartridge. The little piece being the empty shell on the ground after firing. In an apparent suicide, the ex tells her he will be thinking of her in heaven.
The fourth verse describes the girl trembling in misery over the ex's death. His body is cold and white. His lifeless ghost haunts her but the ex sees it more as an affectionate hug of her bones and skin. As his eyes roll he can see the light calling him to his ascension.
This is a beautiful song and I hope this interpretation has done it justice.

(95% of lyrics courtesy of Daniela from Austria) Thats me LOL :-D. So far I have gotten so many different versions of Pick-Up Truck lyrics. Loads of other KOL peeps submitted them. So far there are two approaches - the more romantic approach (see my link above) or the "violent" approach LOL ... we just have to wait for official lyrics I guess to decipher Calebish me thinks LOL.

OK... I think he says "I see you crawl out of a pick up truck", not call out a pick up truck. And then I think it something like and "in the moonlight I run him down" ... I don't think it sounds like a little piece of a 32, but I can't tell what it is... I think his Owwwoo.. is getting me all hot and bothered and I can't concentrate on the rest ...

I love your interpretation of Pick Up Truck so much that I just want to believe those lyrics are accuarte, even if I really don't hear some of the things there (like the part about the little pieces of a 32). Even with the new recording of the song I still can't understand much of the lyrics. Caleb really mumbles throughout that whole song.
