Not sure if this has been mentioned yet but...... A friend of mine has received a weekly email from Ticket Queen - right at the bottom of the email it says: PLUS KINGS OF LEON ON SALE SOON @ HYDE PARK Keep watching the website... This is of course unconfirmed, but a night at Hyde Park Calling after the mighty Pearl Jam would be sweet!!

I'm not sure if this is actually that great news. I mean don't get me wrong, Kings are coming to London, woo!
But as they're recording at the minute doesn't that mean they'll just rush through album number five like they did with album number four because of headlining Glasto in 08?

Agreed ^
I thought about getting tickets for about 30 seconds then realised it is a huge show, so will be full of SOF-ites, and probably isn't worth the hassle. Sad times.

I am so confused, o2 priority is saying they have presale starting tomorrow for 3rd July, which is the Saturday of Wireless Festival (in Hyde Park obviously) which would make sense.
When NME announced it I thought they'd got the date wrong, but then Absolute Radio are doing presale tomorrow for the 30th. But o2 only has priority for o2 events obviously... and if it's full of SOF fans they can all crawl back under the rock they came from. Stupid minges.

But as they're recording at the minute doesn't that mean they'll just rush through album number five like they did with album number four because of headlining Glasto in 08? Glastonbury has huge TV coverage worldwide so that's why they raced the album for it. This doesn't have the same coverage so I doubt they will rush an album for it. Maybe play one or two new tracks they are working on which would be great, but not a whole album. Can't you remember the excitement of when we first heard Crawl played at a festival. We were all trying to work out the lyrics and the excitement was immense. Not sure what's going on with the dates mix up. They wouldn't play two dates in Hyde Park so someone has it wrong. Unless they are doing an O2 Arena show and wireless. But again that would be pointless. Hmmm

the o2 blueroom says that the gig is at hyde park 3rd july so def seems part of wireless fest but totally confused by the fact that loads of other ticket agencies are saying 30th june

They will play:
Bucket, 4Kix, Molly's, Charmer, On Call, Crawl, Be Somebody, Use Somebody, SOF, Fans, Kup, Notion, Revelry, My Party... yawn... plus 3/4 new songs... hurrah!... and a small selection from Taper, Rodeo, Milk, Manhattan, Thumbnail, Slow Night, Closer, Desert, Cali and RML.
Not that I'm a sceptic or anything.

As long as they play Trani I couldn't care less. They could literally just play Trani and I'd be happy. It's the one KOL song I adore that I've not heard live.

The totally demoralising thing about that though is hearing the glory of Trani met with complete disregard by the audience only to be followed by a stupid 'wooooo' for Use Somebody.

what sites are doing pre-sale? is it just absolute? seen tickets are £47.50 www.stereoboard.com/content/view/97018/9/wonder if that will put the SOFans off, £50 for 2 songs? they may think that's extortionate!

I see where your coming from, but this gig is going to be about £50-£60. That's a lot of money for two songs, maybe it will scare some of them away?

im tempted to get tickets if only to see some of you lovely ha'ers again, but £50 is pretty steep since it'll cost a bomb for travel too. who else is going???
