Tbh, I couldnt give 2 shits about Jay Z. I am about as excited about seeing him as I would be about Blues Traveler or The Decembrists. But that's just me.
I guess I'll be busy looking out for the Followills during Jay Z's set. Woo hoo. Something to do!

Highlights of Bonnaroo press conference - His suggestion – Get out, enjoy the sunshine and check out bands you haven’t heard before. I agree with Nathan.....that is the main reason I love these kind of shows. I've discovered alot of bands at festivals that have become some of my favorites. I know that being at the barrier for KOL is the main goal for everybody here but I wouldn't want to sacrifice that whole day at one stage just to be up front. There are too many other bands I would want to check out during that time....but that's just me. Also, I know Sundays lineup isn't great but if I paid for all 4 days I would stay and check out as many bands as I could, again just my opinion. I just wish I had the money to make the trip down there, it's killing me to not be able to go

So many bands and you've spent so much money might as well make the most of it, especially if you're going to see your favs on tour solo (if you're not then I can kinda see sacrificing some sets for a good spot). P.S. My 'Roo ticket is en route, in Memphis to be exact!!!

i've heard most all of the bands/artists on sunday and they aren't worth a-camping another night or b-driving back 2 hours to see
i think i'll get my moneys worth out of the 13 bands i'm seeing! if you add up how much it would cost to see them all individually it well exceeds the $250 bonnaroo ticket! (jay-z, stevie wonder, kol, and the dead weather exceed that alone!)
ps- my tix are in memphis too! should be here tomorrow! eeek!

^but aren't you missing quite a few bands by trying to get barrier for KOL and TDW though? 13 bands doesn't seem like a lot for a 4 day festival like Bonnaroo.....I seen that many bands at a 1 day festival here in WV a few years ago! Of course a few of those bands weren't very good but I still had fun and a couple of those bands, that I thought I was going to hate, actually changed my opinion of them You guys must think I have really horrible taste in music because I don't think Sundays lineup is all that bad...I mean like I said before it's not great but there are still a few bands I would still love to see....some of them I have already seen and would love to see again I haven't heard anyone talk about the comedians that are going to be there...is anyone going to check them out? I would love to see Margaret Cho and Conan

i'm only missing bands that are on at the same time as the dead weather and kol or any other bands... like mumford and sons and avett broters are both on at the same time as dead weather. local natives and mancehester orchestra play at the same time. gossip and edward sharpe play at the same time. i'm only missing 1 band in order to get a good spot for KOL. i'm skipping LCD soundsytem because they dont go on until 2:30am and i plan on being passed out by then. it's really hard at big fesitvals like lolla and roo to get to all the bands. 1- because the stages are pretty far apart and it's hard to get to them in time and 2- because the put bands against each other on different stages. i guess if i had the luxery that nathan does and get to ride around behind the scenes in a golf cart from stage to stage i'd make it to see more bands seeing 13 bands is A LOT in 3 days time when you consider the amount of going back and forth between stages, taking time to eat/pee/hydrate, and how extremely hot it is.

I definitely see your point....I guess it really doesn't matter how many bands you see as long as you have a good time and I know you guys will! I've been to festivals where I only got to see partial sets because of overlapping and going back and forth between stages but that's part of the fun for me....I can't take standing in one place for too long. I never could have done what you girls did at Lolla, I would have had a massive panic attack being packed in that crowd for that many hours! So do you think our boys will stick around for the whole festival? I think it would interesting to see what bands they would check out.

Sorry for the double post, but if any of you stay for Sunday you should check out John Butler Trio. Don't know if anybody here likes their music but I've heard they are pretty good live. John will be playing another stage by himself that day too.

i know nathan will be there friday morning to see jessie probably and i'm positive jessie will stick around sunday for kris kristoferson (which would be the only person i'd see if i stuck around sunday) so maybe her other half will be with her. oh and nathan also said in that new article about wanting to catch jay z!

yeah I think there will be quite a few bands watching Jay Z. I'd like to see which bands Jay Z will be watching!
Kris Kristofferson would be awesome but I would have to pick John Fogerty if I was going. There's just no way I could pass that up....it's a shame they put them on at the same time.

Jay Z will be watching KOL! He may be a bit of a Sex Somebody fan, but he does like them!

I thought Jessie Baylin was playing on saturday...but now the schedule says Friday at noon. If i go to see her will I lose my place at the front for KoL?? Is 1pm too late to get to the very front of the stage for their 9pm set or does it become empty between acts? I don't want to miss Jessie but I don't want to be 10+ rows back for the boys either. stresssssful lol

i'm not going to the KOL stage until after She&Him get over at 6. that should allow plenty of time to get to the front for KOL
