jen I would definitely recommend it, i like a matte look too but i find sometimes it looks a little cakey? that's why the MAC mineralize is my new must have, it looks really soft and supple. My make up has been on since 11am and it still looks perfect een though i walked to and from work and worked a sweat in work too! Result

Right, I guess this is the most appropriate thread for me to ask for hair advice in... I'm ALWAYS bored of my hair and I wanna change it so I like it more. I don't really want anything eyecatching or extreme, just something different that I'll like more than just plain old me... I dye my hair different colours anyway, so that gives me enough extravagance At the moment my hair's pretty much a straight bob, comes to just below my chin, and I have a full fringe, not a side one. I've got naturally straight hair, so I don't need to bother straightening it or anything, I just blowdry it. Any ideas, keeping it short and preferably with the fringe the same? I'm fed up of looking at myself every day and thinking "god my hair sucks" xxx

Cool My hair's just so boring, people say "I'd kill for your hair because it's naturally straight" but it's not so great at all... My hair doesn't do anything odd. When it's left to dry naturally, it does go a bit wispy, which looks crap, but apart from that, it's just one straight block. All these styles I'm looking at on the internet are all well and good, but none of them would work on me because they need wavy hair, or a ton of product on it, and I'm not willing to do that every day! I don't know what I can do with it when it's just a big block, straight down. I have loads of layers in it but it just makes it look thicker, the layers don't flick or anything. I don't know what to do with it! xxx

I sse what you mean,I used to have really long hair and it was really fine and poker stright, i couln't doo anything with it! I won't have to use much product because my hair usually looks like that when I wake up in the morning! Well, I don't know what you can do, maybe look up pictures of someone like Katie Holmes, she has the same hair, but always manages to make it look different!

Ah I see what you mean with Katie Holmes... I can never get my hair to look anything past plain Here's a link to my Myspace... if you look at the second page of my "My photos" album, they're what I look like right now. My hair's been the same for years. Excuse the fact that my face is as plain as my hair www.myspace.com/_xcalairielx_xxx

Any ideas how to get wavy hair straight without the straightener( I have one, but it takes so much time)?

Yeah Shirli your hair is really cool, you remind me of Niamh Farrell from Ham Sandwich. I'm sure other people around here will have great ideas, just ask! And Sausage, you can get a hair straigtening brush like these: www.made-in-china.com/image/2f0j00lHaETftUPgQpM/Straightening-Hair-Brush.jpgThere are expensive ones (around €30, I don't know where you're from!) that heat up or cheap ones for around €5 that you just have to brush your hair with, and it will get straighten, the bristles are stiff and metally and very close together (but not painful, as long as you don't pull to hard!). Depending on how thick your hair is, you might have to brush a layer at a time. Hope that makes sense!

I get fallout/raccoon eyes late in the day. It's like my mascara or eyeliner is retreating from my face. Which is it? Mascara or eyeliner? I've tried different products (different brands and types of eyeliners and mascara), different techniques, a base, finishing powder, blahblah.
WTF is my problem? Am I doing something wrong? I've tried long-lasting, waterproof, smudge proof. Gel, cream, pencil.
Help?

Sometimes if it's too much, it makes any makeup slide off over the course of the day.
