Caleb's little speech. It sounded like he nearly FU'ed again around 1:30...but he managed to bite his tongue this time.

So no HAers went to this? Or no one bothered to leave a review? Well, just came back, had a great time! The crowd for KOL was huge. We were probably in the 5th or 6th row, but never the less very close. Got roped in with some fanboys, so our row was pretty rowdy, singing (screaming) along, jumping and dancing. But generally, from what I could see, the crowd around us was quite good. If they didnt sing along to all songs, they sang along to the majority. Overall, compared to other festivals, the crowd at ACL is very decent and polite. No drunk barfing frat boys. KOL opened with Crawl, then TJG, and they did a shortened set of their usual concert set. The highlight for me was Milk, which i've never heard live before. I was surprised how many people actually sang along to it. The set was a little short of 1.5 hrs, and it looked like they scrapped Trani at the last moment. There was a debate between Caleb and Nathan and Matt for a little while, and they suddenly went into Knocked Up after Cold Desert. Everyone seemed pleasant, no temper, cussing or F Us and Caleb gave a speech about how "a lot of shit is being said about Kings of Leon, but we dont care. We aint going anywhere." Then he mentioned that he loved Austin and that a lot of his favorite song writers are from around these parts. Approximate set list Crawl TJG Notion SOF I Want You Use Somebody The Bucket Be Somebody Milk On Call Charmer Cold Desert Four Kicks Revelry Knocked Up Black THumbnail SNSL Everyone knows about Eddie coming out at the end. I sort of suspected that he would, simply because they were in the same place, at the same time, but it was incredible to see them together again. Definitely the highlight of the show! The crowd went mental! A good show, by festival standards. Overall, the fest itself was really good, especially yesterday, Sunday, with White Lies, Arctic Monkeys, Passion Pit and Dead Weather performing one after another. It was a jaw-dropping incredible lineup of bands! Pearl Jam closed the fest, and did a great job at it. The blood, the mud, and the total lack of sleep were all worth it big time.

Oh, add Manhattan and Molly's Chambers to the set list. Thanks Nicole. I'll post pix later. Matt wore a black and white plaid shirt, Jared, a black and red plaid shirt, Caleb a white tshirt and a black cardigan, and Nate a tshirt. I must say--EVERYONE's hair looked magnificent!

Yeh, there was nothing special about the set list, but it's a festival, so they wouldnt throw something incredible in. At least it wasnt EVERY song (other than 17) from OBTN, as they do at their regular shows.

In fairness Claire, it wasn't a stand alone gig so perhaps that's the reason for the return to set list form. I hope it is anyway!

They are showing highlights of the festival on this link right now. They just showed Dave Matthews Band. KOL are gonna be on sometime in the next couple of hours.....not sure exactly what order they are showing the bands.

The crowd round me for this were SO disappointing. I had two douchebags younger than me push infront of me to then have me watch them sing NO songs whilst I struggled to see. They tried to stop people getting past too. Absolute dickheads. The best thing ever was when Eddie came out! I was so fucking stoked. I filmed it but my dad deleted it by accident He doesn't really know much about Pearl Jam so doesn't understand how significant those few moments were for me. I'd say they're joint best of my life along with meeting KOL! So yeah... crowd was really dead for me apart from a couple of people. I had the most amazing guy behind me for SNSL, he was singing louder than me then at the end demanded an encore for Soft! I had to restrain myself from hugging him! I wish I'd been close to the front but I wanted to see TCV again so ended up by the mixing desk. Pretty good view though, TJG was probably the highlight for me to be honest apart from SNSL obviously... I'm too jetlagged to write anymore

Does anyone know when PBS will air this? I don't want to see it on my tiny computer screen, I want to tape it off the tv! It was scheduled for the 19th - I taped it but NO Kings! There's a link to the page under the "TV alerts" thread. I don't know what happened!
