Just got back to my place the Kings were awesome it was a great show! Caleb was in a particularly good mood I think the break did him good. He said Chicago was one of his favorite cities and that he was gonna get drunk. He talked about being happy that people cam out because he recalled when Lolla was traveling they had hardly any people in the audience. He said that he was having a good time and that he always says that but he's usually lying but tonight he really was. He dedicated the show to a girl named Louise that they met tonight. The set list was typical no Frontier City or Trani here's what I do remember In no particular order Be Somebody (opener) My Party Fans Red Morning Light Taper Jean Girl Bucket On Call Charmer Crawl Closer Sex On Fire Could be missing a few Encore (although they didn't actually leave the stage) Manhattan Use Somebody Black Thumbnail I thought the crowd was pretty good at least in my section people were sing most all the songs and hoping for songs like Revelry to be played. And the shocker of the night the GIBSON is BACK?!? Re-incarnated, repaired, I do NOT know but it nearly knocked me off my feet! I got video of it bc I was so taken aback! I'll post ASAP. EDIT- Like to video www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPUPf7lLK44I couldn't believe it but it has the same worn out spot as the old one my mind was blown! So I had a lovely time, I sang I danced it was AWESOME!

he only played 2 songs with the old gibson (Just to clarify!!!)
he was VERY animated tonight! (hence the flashing and telling the crowd he wanted to "hook up and party" with us)
sad though... about 15 of us waited by the buses for over an hour (after standing in the rain all day) and they just drove out in a van (and they knew we were out there)

Saturday morning, so we've calmed down from yesterday's highs and lows, a little bit. Set List (not in order, but I think it's complete) Be Somebody (opener) My Party Fans Red Morning Light Taper Jean Girl The Bucket Slow Night, So Long On Call Charmer Crawl Closer Sex On Fire Notion Knocked Up Molly's Chambers Encore (although they didn't actually leave the stage) Manhattan Use Somebody Black Thumbnail It all went down really fast and the concert wasnt very long. After 11 hours by the barrier in the pouring rain, 1.5 hrs went in a flash. The crowd was HUGE and before the band actually went on stage, there was a lot of pushing and shoving, to the point of it being a bit scary. We had an amazing spot, right across from the stage, maybe 20 feet. Caleb was in a good mood, as others posters have said. He was at times a bit pissed off at some people who were sitting on the side of the stage, but he didnt call them out. At one point he got a little pissy with Nacho for not bringing him a drink or something, so Nacho sprinted back and forth with a cup. Caleb was very animated, spoke a lot to the crowd and dedicated the concert to some girl who is sick. It was sweet. Though I didnt pay very much attention to other members of the band, Jared was very quiet and didnt move much at all. At least he was facing the crowd and not the speakers. Matt was more energetic and rocked out pretty well. Nathan was...well, Nathan. Great as usual. It was incredible to see the Gibson back, all shiny and polished, though not much used. And yes, Caleb lifted his shirt at the end of the concert, right as they were leaving the stage. That was a nice bonus. We waited for two hours by the tour buses, but they never came out. Lily was walking back and forth with trays of food, chatting with the crew and the roadies. Then Nathan and Jessie came out, Caleb, followed by Jared and Alisa. Did not see Matt or Johanna--they didnt get in the van with the rest of the band. That's all I can remember for now. Great night, if a little rushed. Good crowd, people knew lots of songs, and not just from OBTN. KOL rocked really well, but the set could have been longer. Before KOL, we saw: Manchester Orchestra--very good White Lies--GREAT! Ben Folds--annoying (could've been because the rain was POURING during his set and we were cranky, exhausted and annoyed, not to mention hungry.) He did rock pretty well, so I dont want to be unfair. The Decembrists--a really strange band, with a strange repertoire and no less than 7 members! Wouldnt see them again though.

WOW, it does look awfully like the Gibson alright, I wonder if he got a new neck or the person who got it sent it back. Must have cost a fortune to get it repaired!!

White Lies were AWESOME! Loved them! They really brought the place down, and the crowd was pretty huge for them, from what i could see. Someone took pix of the new Gibson and the old Gibson, and it looks the same, with the same holes, but now patched up and polished. So the neck is probably new. But it was amazing to see that brown guitar again! Though he only played 2 songs on it, it was just like old times.

the set was good, disappointed that they didnt come back on and play trani, that would have made the waiting in the rain all day that much better, but they played good, of course they had to play s.o.f and use somebody, but those are the crowd pleasers, but cant wait for arctic monkeys saw them last night at metro, fuckin sweet, n where was all the happy alone people i was front row yelling for a while

Thanks for the review everyone. Heard they had a huge crowd last night. Feels weird not being there this year. yeah, it was BLAZING hot the last time they played Lolla. Still worth it though, especially w/ Eddie Vedder's guest appearance. "New album's gonna be awesome." Bring it on!
