Just saw this on Nik's tumblr (yea, I'm shamelessly stealing from my wifey). No idea where she found it. Ask her. Nate: We're definitely not choir boys. We definitely go out and and get drunk, but it's not like we go out every night and are like 'yea, I'm scoring, I'm hooking up tonight, take two girls back to the bus.' Jared: We don't even think that anymore, it's just a given.

From musicradar.com, an interview with only (yes, I swear!), ONLY Matthew! Question: If a member quit - would that be the end of the band? "....and because you guys are family, I have to imagine that might be a little strange? Matthew: Yeah, it just depends.. I mean, if like I quit I'm sure maybe they'll find another guitar player and then.they'll just be ... you know, a really boring band and then probably.... fail." True, true.. which interview is that

It's from MusicRadar.com. I'm not quite sure where on the site you can listen to it, but if you scroll down to references on Matt's wiki page, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Followill you can click on the link that says MusicRadar and listen to it directly.

I love his sense of humor, shame it doesn't come out that often, cos he's so quiet most of the time. But apparently Matt was voted class clown in high school..!

I saw this on Tumblr: “The dumbest thing I’ve ever said or done on tour -– I always say dumb things. I speak before I think. I got banned from doing interviews for a little bit. I said something was “gay,” and you’re not supposed to say that. I was 16 years old, I was supposed to be a junior in high school. The g word was still fresh in my vocabulary, straight out of sophomore year. But I didn’t mean it in a homophobic way."Anyone know where its from? ... Oh Jared, we forgive you, being 16 and all

Yeh, it's from my Tumblr. Um, it was a short interview that he did in 08 or 09. I'll have to look it up. I have so much of this stuff, that I cant remember which interview is which. They all kind of blend together after a while.

Here it is:
Tour Survival Guide: Kings of Leon
Our Tour Survival Guide checks in with rockers about life on the road. Here’s Kings of Leon’s Jared Followill on sweet vermouth, donkey noises and getting lei’d. Worst Job On Tour: Tour Manager We had a tour manager that we didn’t like, so every show I would make her give me a sweet vermouth on the rocks with a twist. And she would do it every night. And I never drank one of them, because it was so gross. The Braying of Donkeys, or Kings of Leon We do this weird extremely country retarded song [before every show]. It kind of sounds like a donkey. One of our uncles used to sing it -— I don’t know why we [started doing] it, but we were kind of superstitious, and now it’s something we do to embarrass ourselves during festival season where everyone can hear us. We say a prayer after, then we go play. [My band is] weird. They think we’re not going to wail unless we do it. And I think we would wail either way. I’m really superstitious, but if it causes me to be embarrassed I could do without it. From the Mouths of Babes The dumbest thing I’ve ever said or done on tour -– I always say dumb things. I speak before I think. I got banned from doing interviews for a little bit. I said something was "gay," and you’re not supposed to say that. I was 16 years old, I was supposed to be a junior in high school. The g word was still fresh in my vocabulary, straight out of sophomore year. But I didn’t mean it in a homophobic way. They Love To Get Lei’d My most favorite city that we’ve played is Waikiki. I would play there every day if I could. I like L.A. and New York, even though the shows there are usually pretty bad because the crowds are really pretentious. You feel like everybody there is in a band, and they could do better than you. In small towns, that’s where we blow minds and melt faces.

From the new Steve Lamacq Interview on BBC Radio. "At first I thought it would be cool to do something in, maybe, like Upstate New York. Kind of, you know, Woodstock area ... Jared is a single man now and so he was like *inserts grumpy J Rad voice* 'Well what am I gonna do?'. And I was like 'Well ... you can fly to New York every weekend, you know, and go get your fix or whatever.'" - Caleb on deciding to record CAS in New York CityHeh, love Leb's bluntness
