Sooo, her new album, 'I Speak Because I Can' was out on Monday. If you haven't got it/heard it - do it!! She's meant to be releasing another one later on this year! Anyone else love her? I think she has such an amazingly beautiful voice, and her lyrics are just gorgeous. Plus it's always nice to hear a bit of Marcus Mumford doing some backing

I'm a bit worried I won't like it either, but your great reviews on it have washed those worries away My brother's going to see her (I can't because 18+ and all that) so I'm gonna drag a load of details out of him about it.

Jesus Christ, it's about fecking time someone did this! I've been obsessed with Laura for years and never had anyone to talk to about her. I only even know one other person who likes her music! I didn't bother making a thread about her here before because I didn't think anyone would reply! Laura is one of my biggest musical influences. My solo stuff sounds a lot like her (or at least aspires to!). She's so charming and captivating, and her music is just amazing. She expresses emotions very well, and in a lovely unique lyrical way that's poetic but also quite cutting at the same time. And I'm jealous of her success, since she's bloody younger than me! Anyone old-school fans like me, then? And has anyone seen her live? I've seen her twice, and I'll be at the Manchester date next month. I was so happy when I bought the special DVD edition of "I Speak Because I Can", and it has the Royal Festival Hall footage on it! I was at that gig, and I just KNEW the cameras were there for a good reason! I was so psyched at that. I like most of the bands and artists that appeared there, so it was amazing to see them all congregating in one place to perform. Mumford & Sons and Alessi's Ark are among my favourite bands/artists, too. xxx

Anyone old-school fans like me, then? And has anyone seen her live? I'd call myself an old-school fan, as I fell in love with her when I watched this ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=cR_lzh6gvT4) in 2007. I then saw her live in June 2008, but haven't again since, due to having nobody to go with. I don't usually mind going to gigs alone, but not seated ones (which she seems to keep doing) as I'd feel weird sitting on my own, at least standing I can move about to look less lonely.
