the game is played where i will put all the songs up from the album and you vote them off one by one... one vote each per round. I guess Ill give 48 hours to vote on each time period for a round. The song with the most votes after 48 hours gets the boot. Remember your not voting FOR your favorite song your voting off your LEAST favorite song left. You'll be surprised how hard this gets...

I really wanted thank everyone for playing, its been fun and I hope you enjoyed it. I actually did something like this on a Stones site and some didnt like it because they felt wrong voting off songs that they love, but overall it was a success in both, plus people seem to be more in depth on their choices when voting, i guess because of the tought process. In voting for Cold Desert as much as i did to get knocked off i made myself listen to it everytime and it has grown on me a little bit, still not top 3 but right there (and this is truley why i do this sort of thing in the first place)... but if you know me at all it's not about being negative towards kings, just having fun and actually going through some tough choices, except 17 hahaha. I hope you all had fun because I did... next up BOTT, stay tuned!

Last night I listen to all four albums in order and honestly started bawling my eyes out when I put in Only by the Night.
It's NOT the Kings of Leon. I can't believe my favorite band of all time let me down this much...
I Want You is growing on me a bit. But it's just like......WHERE'D THE DANCING GO? You can't dance to a SINGLE song. The lyrics are all CLEAN and it's all about CALEB'S FEELINGS...Youth and Young Manhood was just Caleb going like "AHHH we're so young and crazy and southern, we're gonna smoke this weed and screw your daughter..." And it was SO GOOD. Then Aha Shake he just PERFECTED that vibe. Because of the Times they got a bit more professional and wrote amazing songs that actually had beats and hooks and sounded truly epic instead of just boring...
now he's turned into Mister Feelings...he was always afraid having steady girlfriends/wives would ruin the music, and it did.
I'm so depressed I could cry again

I'm so depressed I could cry again You can say you don't like it, you entitled to that. But, I don't believe you can say it's not KOL, because frankily if they play it and sing it, then its KOL. Its what KOL is now. It would be better to say its not YAYM. I am going to agree, YAYM is the best, front to back the tracks are the shit. Man I wish they through some throw backs in there, but there not going to. This album is good. I will always like KOL, i'm seeing them for the fourth time and all of those were with me fiancee'. We have to stop comparing everying to the old days, obviously there somewhere completely different. Hell man I wish they all grew there hair out and had awesome mustaches and played red morning light till the cows came home, but that wouldn't be KOL. I vote "I want you" |
